Ooooh, then maybe! Yeah, I see that. And once you get that, you'll have more free space to merge a few more! Must be incredibly difficult though, and you'd have to be lucky too

Oh wow, that's impressive! Won't get beaten any time soon :O

Yeah I have, but it would be impossible to keep cheaters out unfortunately, and it would be kind of inevitable for it to be filled completely with fake scores sadly

Congratulations on such an amazing score! :D
I've updated the page to show your highscore ^^

Thank you! Yeah, we didn't have much time spent on playtesting and it turns out the balancing was off and there were some bugs in the quest simulation, but we've uploaded a polished version of the game, and we're working on making this into a full fleshed out game, so if you want to follow our progress you can follow our discord :

Thanks! We're trying to build on the core concept and adding more depth to the game as well. We're aiming for a full fleshed out game to release ^^
We share our progress on our Discord btw :)

Thank you :D
Some polishes we made do help with this, but we are working on a bit of a progression system for the game to ease the player better into the game mechanics :)

Glad you liked it! We've taken some feedback and polished the game a lot! As for the quests, the day now starts with at least one difficulty 1 and one difficulty 2 quest to balance it a bit better. On top of that, you can no longer have two of the same quests to choose from.

We're working hard to turn this into something even bigger. If you want to follow our progress, we share sneakpeaks on our Discord ^^

Agreed! KittyBun did a wonderful job on the characters, it set the tone of the game perfectly :D

Thank you! We're definitely planning to working on that! We've uploaded a much polished version of the game already and are working on adding a lot more depth and content to the game. If you want to follow our progress, you can find sneakpeaks on our Discord ^^

That sounds cute! We definitely want to work more on the character backstories and to bring that forward better in the game

Thank you for your compliments and feedback! ^^
We do have some backstories for the characters, but we definitely still want to bring them forward more in the game.

Haha this game is way more satisfying than it should be!

Thank you!
It checks for each pixel if it's a perfect match, so it's nothing complicated ^^;
Though, I'm thinking of creating a full game from this and in that case I'll take the time to make it a little bit more sophisticated :3

Not having an eraser is part of the challenge ;)

Haha! You seem to have really enjoyed yourselves! Nice video! :)

That cat is adorable!!

Yep, exactly! The order is very important ^^

Nice! Great score :D

Hi! Thank you! ^^

Yeah we do have a similar concept, except for your main challenge being the timer, and mine the minimum score + no eraser :)
Loved your game too btw! Felt very responsive and the timer really had you racing haha

Thank you ^^

I did think of an eraser and it would not have been difficult to add, but since there is no timer, I liked the idea of keeping the challenge of not being able to erase anything :3

Thank you! :D
The similarity is calculated on a per pixel match basis, so the positioning matters, though I'm thinking of creating a full game for this in which I would make that part more sophisticated. :)
Also if the score was  unexpectedly low but you did draw in the right position: for a bit there was a bug in the web version of the game where on some computers (not each one and also not based on the browser, very weird) it only counted white pixels, making it incorrect, but it has been fixed a bit ago

Glad you loved it! I'm very happy with the colors I chose for the paintings, since I eventually ended up using them for the UI and it looks a lot better than I had expected ^^

Thank you!! It's actually my favorite one so far, and I'm thinking of creating a full game for it with a bunch of different levels each with different painting color palettes, and twists :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you ejoyed it! :D

Great game, absolutely loved it!

Interesting ending, but a fun game overall! Would love to see more levels :)

(1 edit)

Btw there was a small error in the web version (not in the standalone version) where for some people only the white pixels counted. I've fixed it, but that must be why it rated your penguin so low. It should be fine now though if you try again :)

Thank you! :D
Don't worry, I think it's one of the cutest penguins alive!

Thank you! We had a lot of fun writing the text :3

Thank you! :D

Yeah after the last scene when it says "thank you for playing our game", if you try to continue it tries to close the game, but on the web version it kind of freezes, but we thought it would be clear enough from the text that it's over. Didn't have enough time for a more proper ending ^^;

Thanks!!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :D

Nice entry! The game is very polished! If you plan to add on to this game, I would suggest a code of 4 numbers as a higher difficulty :)

I thought seeing just the footprints was really funny and a clever way to represent the player and enemies! Seems you can kind of just run past the guards?

Solid game! A little difficult, but it feels pretty polished!

It's a little short, but I liked the challenge!

Thank you! :D

Yeah the blue arrow waves were mostly added to be satisfying as well as to make the game have a bit more variation :)

I was afraid that allowing the player to hit the arrow anywhere would just lead players to spin in circles to easily block all arrows, which I didn't know how to solve. Ah I hadn't thought of screenshake! I was not sure how I could improve what I had at the end but that's a great suggestion! Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah I thought of the idea that being able to hit the arrow from the side as well could be nice, but it would create a new problem where you could just quickly spin to block all arrows, which I wouldn't know how to deal with xP
