Echoing what others have said about your strengths here: the descriptive content, the voice direction, the variety of dialog, the mechanic of keeping those dice forward and the style of your table results are all excellent. My only constructive feedback is that I think your intro paragraph could use some additional punctuation and potentially clause reorganization in order to give it a bit of a punchier cadence.

I really like this. It's easily understandable but still have so much replayability because of the tables. Great job.

There is also something really fun in doing a voices-tables. I was thinking you could also do a reply table? So if certain words are used by players certain actions happen. It makes it a little more dynamic, as it right now seems like the only outcome is flying skulls.

The item at the bottom is really exciting, I might steal that for an adventure. I maybe I'll just run this whole thing once someone peaks into an opening in a rock.

Great job!

Thanks for the comment! I was thinking about specific replys at first too, but eventually left it out, as some other options also. Since I was strugling to fit all of it on one page! Just started to learn how to do layouts properly.

I should've added that in my comment, I realize you wouldn't be able to fit it in. :) So it was just because I was so excited reading your piece, that my brain started developing stuff – which really marks a quality piece of work.

This is a fantastic encounter that can be thrown absolutely anywhere (as long as it's cold). Love the voices table, very creepy and can spark a lot of inspiration in the players. Using the results of the voices table is genius as well, especially since there is a correlation between what is said and what the skulls consist of. The Heart of Greed is extremely powerful and definitely needs to end up in the wrong hands. Very well done, can't wait to play this.

A great encounter to throw in between to adventures! I love the random tables and the idea of rolling once but saving the roles to determine the amount and skills of skulls. Makes a nice little challenge rewarding you with a mighty item.

I really like the Heart of Greed, it's a great item. It's basically an encounter when it's used that has several layers of depth from its breif description.

The visual imagery of the iron grates frozen and having to push one's way through it is vivid and interesting. Also potentially useful to split the party for a little while.

Based on the description at the beginning of the adventure, I expected more treasure in the well. Is it because one is meant to lament their own greed drawing them down the well?

I like the variation in the flying skulls, but the encounter doesn't feel dangerous. I suppose that not all encounters need to be dangerous, but it seems warranted here. Even the Lich has been robbed of all of its abilities. If I ran this, I would still use a crippled Lich, but maybe give it some ability to threaten the PCs.

Thank you for the in depth comment! Depending on the players and the dice the skulls sometimes do become almost immposible from my testing, especially if the players wait around for a new batch, thats why the Lich is left as is if one needs a greater chalenge use it at full force like in the book, or just as as gem holding tool :)

Interesting, maybe I'll run this encounter at some point and see how it comes out.

I love the idea for the voices!
