This is a brutal adventure with a healthy serving of combat. My players love combat so this will be an absolute joyride for them. I love the mystery and openness as to what the package is. Well done.

Thank you! I love a good brawl myself, but after the voting ends I plan to modify the adventure so it can be played with more variety (thanks to some great feedback from the community). :)

My only caveat in this well-written, well executed adventure is it seems a little combat-heavy so if rolling a 1 and someone has to die, it quickly becomes a TPK. Other than that I think you're a genius. The way you combat the one hour playing time (with an option of adding a bit of time) and the excitement about the package is really great. What is it? Is it a baby? And why is that baby going to grow up to become an evil necromancer?

It's a great layout, it reads nicely – well done.

Thank you for the feedback!
I see that there is too much combat (or too little of something else) and I'll work towards better balance. I hope rolling one while moving from location to location will bring some dread and as it's only 1 hour adventure, players won't feel to bad about dying.

Cool! I totally see how this got be turned from awesome to finished A-level adventure by just adding another page. Or laying it out on a landscape A4. Because it's really not far from being complete.

Just hope you realize that my comments are really just cherrypicking on something so well executed! One of the top contributions in this jam for sure!

Love the progression, and definitely going to be a bloody encounter. Great work.

Thanks a lot! :)

It isn't immediately apparent what the package is, although looking at the picture for the conclusion, I assume it is a baby. The adventure seems fun, but it is clearly very combat heavy without a lot of knowledge to prevent triggering the monsters or alternative means for defeating them, which with the exception of Draugr, I'm afraid would end up feeling samey without adding to each of the locations. I do like the mechanic for the survival of the Package, but mechanic for being destined to die in a place removes agency from the players and I would hate to die to something I had zero control over.

True that, it is combat heavy, but as every MB play, I assume players will figure out their own ways - even without fighting. In terms of the perma-death roll, I absolutely got your point, which is really valid. I hope for some players it will bring that element of dread and unforgiving cold that won't ruin their play as it's "only" an hour long.
Many thanks for such a comprehensive feedback! :)

Hello, I wanted to post my comments in this thread as well!

I was very impressed by Coldying.  I love the premise that we never learn exactly what The Package is, and that it is up to the reader to imagine what it might be-- obviously something small, precious, fragile and warm.  I'm guessing an infant, and perhaps one that can somehow bring light to a dark and dying world.  The directive to protect it with one's life makes me feel that I would indeed spend my character's life to do so.  And the knowledge that the mission could end in tragedy makes the storyline very compelling.

You also did a great job with artwork, graphics, etc.  Very professional!  I've only just begun  to use publishing software, specifically for this jam, and would love to get my abilities to that level.  I've got to learn about rasterizing, vector graphics and thinks like that.     :)

And there are even frozen tree ents!  I love their entry, where there is no wind but the trees are moving.  That sends a little chill down my spine, and it's not from the cold...     :)
