Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
The theme of generosity is portrayed by the light that our character gives to fallen stellar companions to save the constellation of vela. With his own will, the player can guide them, feed them, and play with them.

thatvelagame :)
Glad I got to experience this world and reach the finish! I got a little lost towards the end when I used my last star on a wall, but otherwise the feel of moving through the map was, dare I say, "stellar" ;)
Sound design was spectacular with the character interactions (the musical jumps and star launching were marvelous).
Thank you so muchhhh for playing and we're really happy you enjoyed it!!
A beautiful world… even the cloth physics have been wrangled- impressive. Certain objects lacked collisions, though thankfully, exiting them was as simple as entering.
Thank you so much!! Yeah, collisions are always tricky... haha
It's amazing how much work you've put in this game! Art style is very unique. I did get stuck a few times so I would want checkpoints in the game. Other than that it's a great work!
PS - I would love to have you reviewing my game too, thanks!
Thank you very much! <3 will doooo!!
I love the world, the concept, the art and sfx, and the feeling of the jump as well! Very reminiscence of Journey.
Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the game. I probably had to reload it like 8 times because I found myself stuck. For example, somehow I skipped the first guideline that shows you how to open the door to get more light. My camera wasn't faced towards the door so I just assumed that I was learning to shoot the light (this happened 4 times). So I couldn't pass the 1st door after you get your first companion (since you need 2 lights). But I managed to skip the door and go through the hole in the wall. But then I couldn't jump very far to get to the telescope since I was out of light. But since you don't get the opportunity to call your light back from the memories I had to restart the game. I am in a similar situation, I got 3 companions and I have one light. There is a memory, that if I light up, I cannot find what to do. The image is of a cliff near a lighthouse and people looking to the sea (i think). Can you guide me please? Since I want to explore everywhere I end up in situations that I shouldn't be and cannot finish the game. Also I managed to respawn 2 times inside a rock after falling in the water, and couldn't get unstuck. And one time, one of the boats you jump on in the very beginning, sank, so I had to reload again. Anyway, I really want to finish it, so If you can guide me of what I am missing I would be glad! Your game is really beautiful and I don't want to miss out the ending. :) sorry for the long comment btw.
Hiii! I'm so sorry you encountered so many issues!:(
Once you get to the point where you have 3 companions and one light left, you can still use it to light up the memorial you,re talking about which will unlock some pilars you'll be able to jump on to continue your journey! Your light will come back to you once you complete it, as you only permanently loose them when you give them to a companion. I also would recommend to not leave one light in a door when it needs two of them to open cause if you do that the light will get stuck there as long as you dont throw the second one in. We didn't encounter this issue before so we couldn't fix it on the build, really sorry! Hope this helps and don't hesitate if you need more details!
(Also thank you so much for your comment and for playinnnggg<3)
thank you so much for answering! I am going to try it again :) I've actually encountered the issue with the door needing two lights and I had only one. that was when I said "oh there is a hole on the wall I can get through", heh. I think I managed to climb there bc there are some stones, and also you get the double jump. Maybe smt you can change post jam :) I will post more feedback after I finish it. but overall one of the best games I've played thus far :)
I played it again, I figured it out! I think a sfx (like a rocky sound? - i think you have a sfx but I haven't realised that pillars were moving. I didn't connect the two) for the pillars rising would be a nice indication for us to notice something changed in the environment. I also gave it to my partner to play and faced the same issues I did. I don't know if you want to release it or make any changes to it. So in summary for the gameplay: An important thing is for the camera to lock on the door in the beginning, to show that this is what you need to light up. Since you are able to jump over the boxes that are on the right side of the light house. I also found ways to skip through the regions I should have unlocked someway in cases like: the second door (through the hole in the wall), and the second from last pillars (From the point you save Kalau). I would love for an option to return to main menu, or restart, and of course credits. :)
Overall, I love the game, the music, the concept, I love the companions (is it me or are they getting fat? - love that). You put a lot of effort and love in to it! One of the best games I played. I don't want to seem harsh on my feedback, I just genuinely want you to make it even better :)
Thanks a loooot for playing it again and for your feedback! We will absolutely make fixes post game jam, unfortunately it's the type of stuff people forget when time is running out hahah! But we're really happy you still enjoyed it and took the time:) <3 (and yes the lil guys get fat when you feed them hihihi)
The companions are so cute! I especially adore the everything is so CLEAN – it really feels like a coherent world that I am exploring. The game also has quite a lot of content.
Some minor issues – I got stuck once and couldn’t get out, would be nice to have a “unstuck” button. At first I didn’t wake the companion because I missed a shot and thought it was uninteractable, the game still continues and I wondered why companion jump didn’t work.
Overall, a very solid game and I would certainly play your game again if there are any updates after the jam.
Hello Qiaozhi! Do you mind specifying where exactly in the game were you stuck? We'll try and fix the issue once we'll be able to update it! As for an unstuck button - that's a great idea! Thank you for the suggestions, and thank you for trying out our game!!!
As someone who also helped make an astral-themed game, this was such a pleasant experience~ The atmosphere, the colors, the music, the vibes overall are all stunning. No doubt inspired by TCG's Sky, it's a very visually stunning game. This is an incredible amount of work to have accomplished in only 3 weeks, you guys deserve a ton of praise! Kudos to your team, great work!
Thank you so muchhhhh!!
You guy's game is stunning!! Love the visuals
Thank you! <3
I was streaming this game for a friend and we were both absolutely blown away by the visuals and the sheer amount of love and care that was so obviously put into this project. We were losing our minds at the fabric physics and not to mention how incredible the pause menu looked! Everything is so cute and very reminiscent of sky as some other people have also noted. The ambient music helped contribute tot he overall vibe beautifully. One thing other people have said that I agree with, is that losing the stars wasn't as communicated as clearly as it could have been. I feel similarly about the star's ability to change the terrain and not just give lore (which I only really noticed on my second playthrough.) For me personally, I would have loved a way to move a bit faster but that is 100% just a personal preference. Despite those extremely minor nitpicks this game is absolutely gorgeous and incredible. If I was told that this was the demo for a Sky spinoff game, I would have believed it in a heartbeat. Fantastic job!
Wow thank youuuu so much for your feedback! We're really happy you enjoyed it!! We did put a lot of love into this game 🌟
It shows! <3
Wow! this game is very underrated!! Very polished for a game made in 3 weeks. Love the gameplay and color palette. Makes me think of Sky Children of the Light a lot :)
Thank youuu so so much!!!
Hey, super nice game. I really like the environment how everything is compact, and not just big open empty space. The colors throw me off a bit and the character feels a tad too floaty, but I enjoyed the experience overall. Really like the companion jump, very cute
Thank youuuu we appreciate itt!!
Really nice game, feels very visually inspired by thatgamecompany’s Sky - in a great way! Even the main character reminds me of the children of the light in Sky. I wish there were more ways to interact with the world though, since the world you made is so beautiful :) anyways, good job!
Thank you so muchhh!!
Hey it's Chris!
Really crazy you guys did this in 3 weeks, in the best of ways. I especially enjoyed the little touches--the glow in footsteps, the fishing rod's visual tie in with the stars. I did encounter some issues with the stars not coming back after the later tablets (even when I backtrack to look for them), but thankfully, I only needed the companion jumps to finish. And I'm so sorry--I was only able to find 3 Journey tablets :(( Great jammy work!
Hey Chris!! Thanks a lot for the feedback, it's really appreciated!
Regarding the stars, we were actually trying to show how the lights were running out towards the end, so the challenges "in the dark" are ment to be that way, but maybe that could've been communicated more clearly !
Thanks again for playing and congrats on finding 3 of them! 🫶🏻
Oh that is wonderful to know. In that case, now I understand that, it makes a lot more sense now - really appropriate change in intensity before a climatic ending
Fun & nice little game, love the atmosphere and the low gravity!
Thank you so much for playing!! Happy you enjoyed!🌟
Absolutely beautiful game! The platforming is really fun, and I love the little star companions!
Thank you so muchhh we're happy you enjoyed it!!
Look super beautiful ! Super relaxing and smooth experience (I love the little light on the feets idk why)
Thank youuuu we're really happy you enjoyed it!! 🌟
Damn fun it was. Love the camera work here and there. AND THE VFX!
Thank you so much for thw feedback and for playing our game!! 🫶🏻
