End life plan
The game is saved to a file on my computer, which can always be sent out and played locally with just a laptop. If itch ever goes under, I'll post it on a different site. If the internet goes down, I guess I'll have to hand out USB drives with my game on them!
Transparency note
Had the basics of a simple 2048 game before, built on that original work to build this, Also, I did use AI for some graphics stuff and bug fixing

good game :D
This was fun! I've never actually played 2048 before so it took me a second to figure out what I was doing once I did everything was smooth sailing from there.
It was really cool to build your own deck.
Cool mix between 2048 and roguelike!
(it can get a bit addicting though).
The music is also really relaxing.
I probably "play-tested" a little too much, so I definitely know what you mean by addicting lol. Also, all Music was by narcolepsyDriver, in my opinion, it's the best part of the game!
A tutorial would have been nice for people like me who have never played 2048 before, though I can accept that I am probably not the target audience. Had to look up on Youtube how you play that game.
Explaining the controls in-game would have been nice too, since I initially tried to use my mouse only to later realize I should have used the arrow keys.
I'm not sure why you used AI for the cover image, when the rest of it has such striking and eye-catching choices in terms of colors and simple shapes. Just going with that for the cover would honestly have looked much better.
As for the preservation aspect, why not just put the game's web-build (the file you uploaded) in a zip file and offer it up for download right here? Would be an easy problem solved right there.
Still, while I'm probably not the target audience, I did overall have fun with the game.
I was working on a tutorial but ran out of time. Sorry about that! Also, maybe one day I'll make it downloadable, but right now I'm still developing it and don't really want people downloading a half-baked version of the game. Thanks for playing, though!
Hey, no worries. Bets of luck to ya!
Fun twist on the game, really well made and polished as well. Music is also very soothing.
Thank you! Music was all by narcolepsyDriver, they did an amazing job and really elevated the game!
Great game! It would be really cool if you got additional time when you combined numbers successfully e.g +2 seconds.
Thanks! I like the idea; I may make it a power-up later in development!
I like rogue-likes so I like this
Thanks! same here 👍
What a fun idea! I really liked the combination of both mechanics. I would say perhaps the shop could be improved with a currency that you get as you play, and the further you get the more currency you save, something like that, but not really a big deal. Overall, great game!
Was thinking about the shop currency idea but couldn't think of a way to add currency without adding more cmoplication and more rules, any ideas?
Hmmm first thoughts are like gems you get by completing the different worlds, that you can use to upgrade the shop and get more chance to get better options, not sure how complicated that would be though :P
oh wow, really like that idea, was thinking of a boss reward shop after boss fights with more permanent style upgrades but I'm liking this build the shop up idea even better, can even make each world upgrade the shop in a diffrent way, maybe even give the players a choice bewteen two worlds when they move on so theres less rng. really loving this idea!
Sounds like you have a plan! Please implement this quickly so I can get pass the first world again, the first time I tried it I got to the second world so easily now I can't beat the classic boss lmaooo
Good classics implementation
Thanks! I tried to stay true to the original 2048 especially in art style
it is quite fun to play i spend a few hours palying this awesome
Thanks!
Had a lot of fun with this, made it to Aqua world round 3 with a deck that had a 512 merge with below tiles (which would auto complete rounds that had a score of 512 or less when drawed)
😂 yeah got that once in playing as well, bugs out the game a little but its fun, glad you enjoyed!
I love a good spin on a classic game and there aren't many more classic than 2048. I always knew this was a game that could be built upon and with your inspiration of Balatro, you did it justice. This is fun and very well made. As somebody who hasn't played Balatro, this type of game is somewhat new to me. I really liked the UI, the deck building, and the upgrade system. Everything worked and felt really nice. Great job man!
Thank you means a lot! spent a lot of time polishing. Your game was a real gem btw, well done!
I almost made it on second stage, I guess I just bad at quick pacing. Good game though!
Thanks for trying it out!, game is a little too hard for the average person, so trying to figure out ways to make it easier for future updates
Im not one to usually like math based games but the chaos of this one made it really fun. Everything was clean and polished. very well done!
Yeah! The chaotic rush of the timer was exactly the idea i was going for, thanks for playing!
Good game, it's a cool twist to a classic! I just suck at 2048 lol
Thanks! Would be better if a character on the level of Timmy™ was in it tho...
Great game! I wish I was better at 2048, though I really liked the deck building aspect that you have made! It would be really cool to mix this with a collection system and dungeons, maybe along with holding on to cards even after you lose.
That Would Be a cool idea! As for the difficulty, I wanted to fix that, but ran out of time. I was thinking of doing one goal for each world, but the time just keeps getting shorter. I may do that in another version! Thanks for the feedback, your game was really cool as well!
Thanks! I think it would be a great idea to continue this!
I really like the mixing of the two genres, it’s quite a novel approach! The in-game art is also very true to the original 2048 game.
Thanks! Your game was really fun as well!
Love what you added to the base idea, very creative.
Thanks, your game concept is genius btw!
I would stick with this game, add more perks and cards. It's a moneymaker.
Thanks For That! I really enjoyed making it, glad you like it! gonna go try out your game now!
Can't try it out, I'm on Mac 😢
Oops. I wonder if I can spin off a couple more versions and submit late.
The limited time aspect of our game is the story and the fact that it's pretty much a popular game (2048) with a timer-based Game loop
