I had it set up siphon with enter or mouse so the player could choose to use the Arrows or WASD keys and not have to use the same hand for both. I suppose I wasn't clear enough in that regard.

Thanks for taking the time to play it. I appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to play it. I appreciate it, thank you. I wanted to keep it simple but solid. I think i did alright lol.

The movement mechanics are solid, and the environment looks good.

Don't be ashamed of your code. You have to start somewhere. It's a benchmark. Not an indication of your final skill level. Your still limitless. Keep going.

This game reminded me of the games i use to play a lot in the early 2000s. Loved that flash back.

This would be a solid click aim trainer but the sound effect needs variation. it gets old fast.

the graphics for this game are memorable. I was eager to play it after seeing the video you left in the discord during testing. I enjoyed this game.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the feedback and your time. I appreciate it.  The highest score i was able to get when testing was 673 but i miss timed a jump so i know it can go farther lol.

Gave it a try on youre main page and I couldnt get beyond the second enemy. it was like there was an invisible wall.

I had gotten a good route down so i was lapping the screen and getting back to the start as things were respawning lol. Started to feel liked id never run out of time lol. Ended up letting it countdown just to see what would happen. It was a fun game though. Can't deny that.

The way the movement didnt really care about the camera position made this tough to play but i made it to wave 3.

I thought i was stuck on the level up part but i stuck with it and advanced. The issue for me there was i couldnt see a progress bar. But in the next stage, i hit the portal while the guy was still talking and the game soft locked on me. It was fun though. I enjoyed the concept.

I spent a good bit of time playing this. It was the collectables lol. I enjoyed it a lot.

Nah i dont want to skip levels, just gotta up me game lol I'll be back.

I couldnt get past that vertical climb level to save my life lol. I like that lighting effect a lot. I wanted something like it to happen in my game when the siphon was active but i couldnt figure it out so i went with the rainbow super saiyan effect instead lol. The controls were solid. Visuals were clear. Good job.

The game was good. I just wish there was a way to go first person for a moment to make sure i was lined up with where i wanted to go.  without frantically rotating the camera constantly. But overall, it wasn't bad at all. Looked really pretty.

The claw launch ended up being more to manage than as a helper ooverall so I resorted to just moving the cart but i still had fun regardless. I would suggest putting gold border around the other restorative item also. I kept eating it thinking it was trash, i knew the tree was safe because of that border. But thats really all I have to say about it. The graphics were good. The music was a jam. Well done.

You're right, I misread it. Though I did forget to mention that the crystals will vanish anywhere. I wanted to put my audio and visual skills to the test with this game. The feedback I have been getting has been really boosting my confidence overall.

I tried to keep it as simple as I could. I tend to fall victim to feature creep and ruin my own projects. It was a goal to not stuff more than I really had to into it lol. It was my first time doing a parallax background also, they can be a bit trickier than I thought they were going to be. I appreciate the feedback and the time spent playing. Thank you.

Yea, that's my bad. In hindsight, I realize I never once mentioned the crystal vanishing. After the jam, I plan to add a line about it. I'm happy that you liked the art and sound. It was my first time "scoring" a game from scratch, and I was worried the colors would make it look childish. I did the best I could, and the feedback really helps boost my confidence a lot. I appreciate that. Thank you.

You're the first person I know of to cross that line! Congrats and thanks for playing. I really appreciate it.

(1 edit)

When i first booted up, something happened where my ghost got stuck trying to possess. I reloaded and had no issues at all. made it to the 3rd or 4th level. I liked the old school feels of it.

I still suck at this game lol. Has anyone managed to clear the level yet? I get it down to under 10 skeletons in the corner before I die but I cant take it all the way lol. Still fun.

This is a good starting place for a button mash training game.

Oof, which mechanics weren't very clear? I will make those changes after the jam to try and make it clearer. Thats a major oversight for me.

You have a similar view of it as my wife does as far as the siphoning mechanic. She thought I should make each block siphon at different rates or something along those lines, I resisted because I wanted as little RNG as I could and didn't want to fall victim of feature creep. But i do understand that the game is a bit barebones overall. I never considered allowing them to create blocks or put time back in the block or anything. That could have been cool. You're right though, this could have been expanded more in several directions.

As far as the use of AI, I don't really understand the level of negativity for it. It's great for people like me that don't have a team and aren't skilled in all categories. It keeps game development within reach for us while we hone those skills. It's the people that let the AI make the whole game for them without any real changes or input from the user that are giving it a bad rap.

Thank you for the comment and the feedback, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed the game overall.

I did originally build it as a windows build and converted to webGL right before i submitted. I probably will make it downloadable but i honestly didnt think anyone would want to download it. Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it.

It wouldnt let me advance to level 3 but it was still a fun game.

this was hilarious. i loved it.

I really liked the art style.

I just wish the jump was a tiny bit higher. good game otherwise.

I wasnt very good lol

Im looking forward to the full release of this game. Im  a sucker for clicker/idle games.

This was a lot more fun than i would have given it credit for at first glance. It would benefit from a visible line showing the intended path though. besides that, it was great.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback as well as the time you spent playing.

This game is ridiculously fun. The concept is brilliant.

regardless of the gamepad thing, this was really good. you got a skill for boss fights. I look forward to playing the first full game you release.

Not a bad game at all. Controls were solid and responsive. I had fun.

I had a lot of angry customers lol but its a lot easier to tell whats going on now. Nicely done!
