I used to play a lot of tower defense games like this when I was younger. This game kind of reminds me of that period of my life. Good job, the game is nice :)

Well done on the art, music, and sound effects. The game works really well. It was pretty difficult at the beginning, but after getting a couple rose upgrades the game got super easy. The enemies barely appeared on screen before they were dead. Overall, really nice work! I had a lot of fun playing this.
The concept works well, but it's a little too slow and easy in my opinion. Otherwise good work ^^
This game is well put together. I like the animated bee hives and the roses. The game play is pretty simple, but for a game jam game that's to be expected.
You got a complete tower defense in 48h ! & 4 towers with different mechanics...Great job !
It need a bit of difficulty balancing. I got up & running pretty fast & managed to hold back every waves with only a few towers placed at the start of the path.
Waves could also be a lot shorter and maybe bigger burst of ennemies at once near the end so it can overwelm the first towers a bit.
All in all, a really cool & impressive entry ! Great job :)
Thanks! Yeah, we had way more in mind but couldn't add it due to time constraints, the difficulty scaling right now just spawns more enemies in a shorter interval, but really compared to the towers upgrading system it's really easy to fend off most of the waves. After this jam ends I'm thinking of going back and iterating on this game to fix waves and balance it.
Very nice. Towers are really cute, love their derpy tiny faces :)
It was fun being able to upgrade a tower infinitely (?), it got crazy fast!
I think it'd be better if you can see range while placing, not after (too late). But it didn't matter in the end since you can upgrade the range crazy high too. Waves were a bit too long imo.
Overall really liked it!
Awesome game. I love the beehive economy. Once I got the economy up and rolling, I was quite confident and safe wave 10 onward, but it was fun to keep upgrading my stuff.
Some thoughts and bugs:
- I would have liked a way to replace plants. Once I realized how beehives worked, I had already mis-placed some
- Bug: You can't click the upgrade buttons if they're under the wave/score UI
- Once enough things are firing, the sound effects clip each other and get pretty loud. The combo of those two things is a little much
- It would be nice to know how far through the wave you are
- If you place a watermelon before anything else you take guaranteed damage, it's too slow. I didn't lose though.
Great job!
Thanks!! We were planning on adding a selling mechanic where you can sell your towers but to be honest I forgot... Also I'm really bad at UI so we had a few hurdles there (we placed water by the menu toggle button because whenever someone pressed it, it instantiated a tower). I think after this jam ends I'm gonna fix most of the UI and add more interactiveness! Thanks for the feedback!!
