Thank you for playing :D

Nice game. I like that the buttons on the tutorial are responsive to the player and the tutorial gives the player some space to find out how the attack works. The idea of exchanging health for attacks is quite interesting however I feel you didn't go as far as you could have with the idea to make it more challenging for the player. The sprint option is also pretty useful

Hey! Thanks for playing my game! Yes! I did put a lot of my thoughts on tutorials. I don't really want to over inform the player. So I simplified them and put some efforts in making each key sprites xD.

Really nice and complete-feeling game, great job!

Thanks for playing! ;D

Graphics are pretty nice. I liked that Wise does actually have sprites for facing all different ways. The game has a lot of cool baseline mechanics that can be expanded upon in a subsequent release.

Can't wait for future updates!

Developer

Daw. Thanks for playing! The fun fact is wise doesn't actually have all the sprites for facing all different ways. I coded so that Godot would flip her sprites every time the player's diagonal were changed xD. Unfortunately this game will no longer received any more update. This is a jam game after all. And I really want to start making more games!

and I totally get your point. This game can be literally expanded with lots of possibility. At some point of development. I was considering adding B-sides to the game even. But no time :p

Thanks again for playing! ;D

I had a lot of fun with the levels! I think some barriers could be hit from an opposite wall but that's just me breaking games lol Really enjoyed the music with the short story too :)

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it :D and yeah. That happens sometimes xD. I just left it there because it might come in handy for some players. Thanks again for playing ;D

I wasn't convinced by the art at first, but the gameplay was nice! I enjoyed playing & trying paths:) nice job

Developer(+1)

Yes. This is actually my first game. I wasn't sure or have that much skilled with pixel art yet so the game's graphic's a bit scuffed. But I do know how to do some art. So I tried my best. and I'd really like to compensate something for it. So I added cut scenes , stories , ending on V0.2hf.

Thank you for playing and also your feedback ;D

Really fun level design and I like that you could choose different paths to take! It's also fun strategizing exactly how much you need to get hurt in order to get through as well. The main character is also cute! I made it all the way to the end and was able to 'finally be free' lol :)

Developer(+1)

Wow! I'm impressed. Thanks for playing all the way through Kasper :D and I'm glad you really liked the game. I have a plan on updating cut scenes and twisted story of Wise(The witch) today in V0.2. "Wise's story is not as it seems" Please stay tuned ;D

Developer(+1)

Hey... Sorry for the delay. It took a long time for me to draw all the sprite. But v0.2 is now out now with ending and wise's story.

I think you might like it.

the mechanics are done in an interesting way, the gameplay is pretty good. I passed the game 100% and do not regret it, I am waiting for your game in the leaders of the game jam

Developer

He's a true gamer. I watched him streaming my game. He literally beat the game 100%. I respect that. Thank you very much for playing and also for your feedback! :D

The mechanic is like the one in my game, but in reverse. You first take damage and then you can attack, which works really nice! The game is very polished and hard! I replayed it a few more times and managed to complete all stages on classic except the last one.

My only suggestion is to make the movement grid-based instead of free-form, because the game requires extreme precision in its classic stages.

The gameplay is very fun, like a resource-management puzzle! The addition of the Curse mechanic created a fun mid-way twist too, and the difficulty selection being introduced only after you'd familiarzed yourself with the mechanics, along with a completion-time estimate, was a nice touch!

(also, the little "eep!" Wise makes when you die is cute..)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback Joy. Here's a fun fact you might like. that little "eep!" Wise makes when she fainted. Is the voice from Peridot's voice actress from Steven Universe. ;D

Ahaha, that explains the cuteness!

Super cool game! I love the mechanic and the concept, lots of potential if you wanted to keep working on it!

Fun puzzle game! The only problem I had was that the attack was not very responsive.

Thank you for your feedback!

Hey juul. I've updated my jam's game to v0.1 hotfix. I've increased the attack's collision size since the old one was a bit rediculous. I had my friend playtest the game and they missed a tons of attacks. And it's all because of your feedback. Thanks again!
