This was super cute and so fun!

This sounds super wholesome and cozy! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

Hey, hello! I'm Jude, a 24y/o hobbyist game dev!

 2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

I missed the last one sadly but I have done these jams in the past. I always say this, but I'm hoping to be able to judge scale better and actually get a finished product for this jam.

 3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

The first game to make me think about making my own was OFF! and I take a lot of inspiration from cozy comfort games like Stardew Valley, but I take a little bit of everything honestly. I love exploring how different developers and different genres tell their stories.

 4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

I have a little experience with Godot and a fair bit with a tiny engine called Bitsy (and all the hacks that go with it). I love figuring out how things in Godot piece together to make functional and fun games. It's almost like a puzzle!

 5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

Outside of game design and storytelling, I'm really passionate about tarot!

 6. What are your goals for this game jam?

I'd like to use this jam to play with some more technical concepts of development. I think my main mechanic I'm going to focus on is a character select.

7. Any advice to new participants?

Pace yourself! It's better to set a small goal that you can easily achieve than it is to stress yourself out trying to be impressive. This jam is for learning, not for showing off. Just take it easy and see what you can do.

Nice work! I liked the visibility, but I did have a little trouble not knowing where the monster was until I got got. But your mechanics worked really well!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

There’s three!

Pretty solid little point-and-click game. It could definitely be streamlined a bit but it was good! Nice job!

Thank you! Unfortunately the movement and the audio are limitations of the engine that I didn't have time to work around for the jam. Since I've gotten that feedback a lot, I might see if I can write a hack for the engine to make the movement smoother.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed exploring!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The lack of audio is a limitation of the engine that I didn't have time to work around, unfortunately.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This was super cute! The puzzle was really simple but interesting enough to make work. I think if there were different levels and not just the same map over and over again you could do some really cool things with that puzzle mechanic.

This has a ton of potential! I love the art style and the mechanics. I think some audio cues would be nice so you can tell if something's near you. I would love to see it if you turn this into a bigger project!

Simple but really well done little clicker game!

Thank you!

Super cute! The animations and atmosphere were really nice and the mechanic is very interesting. The jump is a little short and hard to work with, but it's super good for a jam!

So spooky! I love the atmosphere and sound design, it was consistently creepy all the way through. The chains are super impressive! I hope you hang on to that bit of code to reuse in a future project, because I'm sure that was a challenge to get working.

Those are some picky eldritch overlords you have there! The gameplay loop is super fun, I'd say maybe making the music speed up with the timer or something like that, and making the ending have a little higher stakes and it would be perfect!

Pretty standard little clicker game, with a cute Halloween theme! The audio made it sound like it could be a mini game in a larger horror game, which could be terrifying. Pretty smooth work for a jam!

This game was super charming! The style was very consistent and cute. I think it could do with a little balancing but absolutely fantastic for having been done in a week!

Really cute and interesting concept. It could be made a little more clear, but the mechanics definitely have potential.

Super cute and simple.  The puzzles were engaging and the graphics were really cute. Nice work!

Adorable! The gameplay was pretty simple but it was super cute and wholesome, and I love the detail that you replace the bones you trade away with branches. And of course I will always be in favor of games with cats in them ;)

Super cute and fun! I love the mechanic, though the character did control a little too floaty to make it work well. With some tweaking, this would be fantastic! The graphics and music are really good!

Thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for the feature in your video! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! I'm glad you thought it was creepy, I was really unsure how that would read in this style.

Thank you!

Thank you! I was thinking about adding audio, but I ran out of time for it. I might update it at some point to add it in.

Thank you!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! I was thinking about adding audio, but I ran out of time. I might give it an update some time down the line.

oh yeah I had trouble with the dialogue choice hack and I was using base bitsy, so don't feel too bad about missing out on that haha

Super cute! There were more levels than I was expecting and it was really simple but interesting. Nicely done!

Super cute and fun! The graphics have charm and could work with just a little polish to make them a little clearer. I love the little ghost guy!

I could see myself getting way too into this game lol. I love the mechanics and it was really well polished for a jam game!

Super cute and the puzzle mechanic was really good! It was interesting enough to keep me going all the way through to the end, even if level 3 made me feel  a little stuck until I figured it out.

Super cool! This feels like something that could get a full game release post-jam (and I kinda hope it does)

I couldn't get past the big jump after the angel, but I'd love to see if you do more with this game! I love the way you did that angel too, it's super interesting.

Wow! Great graphics, pretty clean gameplay. I'd just say the loop of fighting the goat mages is a little unsatisfying, it takes a long time and their attacks don't even do damage, but other than that it's a great little game!
