I persisted! And then I opened the game in a private tab and gave up immediately just to see what would happen.

Spoilers: Persisting is better, and worth it! Everyone should persist!

Thank you so much for playing!

Glad I persisted until the end! Loved the atmosphere, the audio cues when you press the buttons were a nice touch. I'd have liked a way to clear my save, as I had to try a different browser to see what happened if I gave up :)

I think it would also be good if you mixed up the despair effects, like have the buttons move around or jump to another part of the screen before you can click it.

I totally agree!! I had a few ideas for that sort of stuff but jam time y'know how it goes xD I love your idea though, thanks so much for playing!

if I ever end up expanding it, there'll definitely be some reset mechanic involved!

Game teaches it’s easier to give up on life and I now feel inspired

Developer

it's always seemed easier at the time to just wallow in the misery, picking yourself up afterwards is the challenge! thanks for playing πŸ’–

Very interesting idea, something you wouldn't expect. It implements the theme very nicely. And it's so simple. The art and music also fit the game nicely.

Developer

thank you so much for playing! I really wanted to challenge myself this time by doing something that wasn't horribly scope-creeped like my normal work πŸ˜‚

Nice game that perfectly adheres to the two buttons theme. However, it gets a bit monotone after a while. I really liked the ending.

Developer

thank you so much for playing and the feedback! I'm glad to hear you liked the ending!
I think that some more positive things throughout would probably help...maybe I'll make an update!

through the power of browser tools I have forgotten my past image.png

persisted and thrived!

very corageous to lock users out of the game permanently (if they are not savvy enough), much respect for that

Developer

thank you so much for playing, and honestly for caring enough to do that πŸ˜‚ someday I'd love to make something that is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I wonder if such a thing is even possible in this space...

I like the sound and after getting the call i had to give up :D

Developer(+2)

thank you so much! I really wanted to invest heavily in sound this time so i really appreciate hearing that πŸ’– I don't blame you at all...I had to go work in a call center the day after 😭

Very creative, if you can add more visuals to the game it might get even more interesting. Keep persisting.

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for playing! I think more visuals would go a long way - thanks for the feedback!

Very original! I gave up after a few questions, but I'll be coming back to try again. Also, very literal and creative way of interpreting the theme, great job!
