Thank you so much for playing and taking the time to leave such thorough feedback! I think I had a little too much fun throwing rainbows on everything and I think it'll look much better with some color cohesion so I'll take another crack at it!
Tutorialization feels like something I always struggle with so I appreciate the advice! Thanks again, I'll be sure to check out your game; love me some metroidvanias!
Just a little game jam game made in a few hours or so :) I definitely agree it could benefit from more, especially more positivity.
I also think that life can be pretty tough sometimes. sometimes you get beat down by bad things happening back to back but it's always just gonna be a phase; nothing lasts forever, not even the bad things.
Anyways, thanks for playing my weird little depression simulator xD hope to see you for the next less-depressinh one!
really unique idea! I've never tried to make yogurt in a game before 😂 I think personally I would have liked to separate the "adding things to the yogurt" step into it's own "z/x-able" game because it made the controls for that section feel unintuitive to me. really ambitious game for a short jam, well done!
really love the vibe of your game! it comes together really nicely and feels like a strong foundation!! one thing I'd recommend is either removing the border around the button choices, or allow them to be selectable as buttons with left click (or right/left arrows as you have now.
I ended up left clicking "Mage" because it "worked" before (really, the option I chose was just the left one!) and then was disappointed to find I was an archer. It makes sense now but just felt a little unintuitive at the time. great work in the timeframe!
interesting idea for a puzzler! I'm pretty bad at puzzle games but the first level took me...quite a few more tries than I'd like to admit. maybe start off a bit easier next time (at least for a jam, I know it's really satisfying to get to the end and I don't think I'm good enough to do that here ><)
cool game! feels like something i would've played on Kongregate back in the day. chill vibes, the progression of clothes balance-wise made each new one feel exciting and i liked seeing all the different patterns and colors! I think the speed between each enemy could be a little faster, but great job all around!
I thought it was interesting that i could only move forward, so skipping by a powerful unit and not seeing anything better definitely added some intrigue. my one critique would be that when you lose, you can be left watching AI you have no interest in battle for a surprisingly long time. some sort of auto fast-forward or skip would be appreciated!
