Oh wow, I love the Aesthetics of the game, sadly I'm too much of a coward to play the game in its entirety since I was expecting a jump scare at every turn! So yea you easily achieved a solid horror element. Kudos!

Many thanks for checking it out Azury and thanks so so much for your feedback. I am glad it managed to capture a creepy feel to it.

To be honest I have probably played more horror games for this jam than I have ever played horror games before. I am ALWAYS nervous about scares around every corner too :-D.

Thanks again for checking it out.

loved the visuals and sounds of the game, it creates a cool immersive experience, with some jumpscares that got me good. Also, i'm super into the themes of a human created singularity, human obsolescence, the IA point of no return and technology turning upon us. I have a nitpick with the notes, they clash a bit with the artstyle, maybe using abetter font and keeping in black and white could improve the immersion aspect, but as i said, it's a nitpick.

Overall great entry.

Many many thanks Retsa Games. I am so glad you enjoyed it and thankyou so much for the feedback. I definitely agree about the font, it really didn't reflect the scifi elements of the project . I definitely will be looking to replace all font in the game with something that works better.

Thanks so much once again for checking it out.

This game was a killer for my GPU haha I guess to much of processing in order to sell out this lovely graphic style! Also as I was walking almost blind, the sound was pretty good and atmospheric! maybe I will watch someone play it so I will have ability to see more :P

Many thanks for checking it out though ChanJohann. Yep you know I had originally wanted it to be played in the browser. When I did the browser build it ran so slow it was unplayable. I only had time to do the windows build and even then I was still using some large textures and didn't even notice how heavy it was.

If you do have time, I have added a smaller download version with much smaller textures (the optimised one). Maybe it might run a little better for you. Either way its definitely something I need to fix.

Many thanks once again.

haha I used that optimized one actually :P but it's quite a gamble of making a 3D game during a short time of gamejam

There's a look and a feel to this game that I really enjoy, a lot of it works well together. However I think I'd like to play a more polished version of this small experience then a full game. I tried to go through the pipe into the building, but crouching didn't shrink me enough to get through, so instead I grabbed the crates and made them into a stair case to go over the fence. I did jump at a few scares, and I did enjoy this strange experience!

Many many thanks Green Clover. Honestly I had to cut out so much because I really over-scoped the project by a mile and half. But even now there is just so much stuff that I wished I had been able to check before I submitted.

Not being able to crouch through the gap in wall is a new one though, I hadn't experience that at all. I'll definitely have to look at that.

I really  hope to iron out a great many bugs once the jam is done and polish it up. Many thanks for playing.

Well, this is a weird one...

Without any instructions the first thing I did is escape your carefully cubed in map through a gap, with no clue what to do next. Killing myself using fall damage and choosing to retry didn't get me back into the main game area either.

One restart later I noticed the red pillars and followed them, reading the hint about the boxes, going into building and hearing scary sounds, but was never in any danger. I even walked back to the apparation once to make sure. Getting the hint about the lights led me to pull the first lever I could find, which was actually a monster? I thought I was protected because I pulled the lever and promply died :D After pressing retry I just ran somewhere and arrived at the ending. Pretty sure I skipped quite a few things.

All in all: This might have become interesting with the protecting light and the monsters (and candles? never saw one, I think?), but I was able to run straight through to the ending by accident.

Thanks for playing Dino0040 and thankyou very much for the feedback. I truly didn't know if anyone had played it here yet.

One of my only experiences with horror games had been with Dark Souls, and so I took the approach of "exploration with little explaination" that Dark Souls has. Unfortunately I didn't get to test the game on any real players before submitting. When I actually saw how someone played it, I thought maybe I should have given objectives and made things much clearer.

As for the candles, they are there, but unfortunately because the sprint is infinite you don't see them.
I had intended to give the character a sprint bar but just ran out of time :-( .  With limited sprinting you would have to be alot more careful with your route and would be forced to use the candles.

Many thanks for playing once again.
