Really cool game! I liked the mechanics because unique and fun. I loved how the aesthetics and sound design really felt like they matched each other as well as being really good. The story kept me hooked. Great job! :D
I found the aesthetics of the game sensational, it was incredible how you used this pixelated drawn style, in a way that was pleasing to the eye, making the experience very visual and intimate with each new path and each new character. Randomness brings a feeling of uncertainty and insecurity, for many moments I thought I would get scared out of nowhere, but you handled the narrative very well, making everything more dynamic with each new dialogue and event. Congratulations on your submission and good luck with your project!!!
Hay, good game, I enjoyed spending time in it. I even really liked the graphics. I wish you success!
This game was so amazing! I genuinely enjoyed every moment, all the characters are so interesting! I love Werner, the lil green weirdo haha, I love your artstyle too! It's so cool you animated everyone faces!
Tysm!! I'm glad you like Werner :] he's just a fun little guy.
Definitely one of the top games here on Creativity and Aesthetics. Super well done, was super immersive and with great characters and dialogs. Tipping my fedora
Such a wonderful throwback to the DOS era. It balances the grainy, nostalgic visuals with a sort of hand-drawn flair that makes it its own. I found the game had a good sense of personality - with A-tier character names like Asbestos and a loose and ragtag set of characters and encounters. How come everyone's skulking out in the woods, who knows: but I like the intimation that many of them are up to trouble. The random pathing and odd trap or hazard to keep the player on their toes was very welcome: perhaps leaning a little into making it very freeform and less focused in navigability, but the unpredictability added to the general vibe of the game. Glad that these characters fit inside a broader meta setting you've been working on because it's clear you write them with very settled identities and personas. Glad I played!
Thank you!! I'm glad you like it ^^ People in Marshmot love to skulk, I think... They do a lot of odd things, but especially trouble ^^ This was my first time messing around with randomization is AGS and I'm glad I was able to do something good with it :]
Top ranks for aesthetic and creativity. This was thrilling to play, and the art is outstanding.
The amount of work thats gone into this game is amazing. I love the art direction and that you took the time to animate the character heads.
Really unique and interesting game. Cool characters, cool setting and lots of detail in the story, objects and dialogue. Systems work together really well. Wouldnโt be the type of game I usually play and I didnโt make it to the end but that doesnโt effect what Iโd rate it I think this is super well done.
Wow such an unique style! Really liked it. You can just tell that a lot of effort was put into this.
Damn, that was so fun and interesting, I legit couldn't stop playing, just trying to find out what other events would trigger. Amazing artwork!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it ^^
Very nice! I appreciate the addition of a menu that shows everything there is to see, it's very useful for this type of short game. The randomly generated forest and location of NPCs/items gives it the feeling of getting lost in an actual forest at night, and that works well for the first few times around. However, trying to complete the checklist, I got stuck for a good 2-3 hours on and off just trying to get the glasses to The Detective. Highly unlikely? Sure! It's just the gamble with RNG. Beautiful art as always, though.
Thank you! And yeah, I had my own turmoil while wrestling to complete all the achievements with the RNG :'] I tried to make a few of them much easier to get while stacking the numbers. But! still some things that just need the stars to align...
I loved the art, very original!
Thank you! ^^
