Very fun game! I couldn't get past the second level tho. The second level kept reloading. Dunno why!!?

Developer

Hey, thanks for trying. I saw that reload bug happening on a phone browser with a friend. Can you share more details about your device?

Submitted

PC - Windows - using Google Chrome.

I'll the game again tho. No worries! I just wanted to find out if there are more than 2 levels.

Developer(+1)

Just 2 levels.

I got it... that's hell haha. The distance mechanic is nice! I like how you added the text on the land pieces instead of annoying popups lol

Shockingly fun!

I am definitely not the first to know that platformers almost predictably get bad reviews as they are the most overused genre available. However, I will admit this one actually managed to entertain me a bit!

I feel the saving grace is just how simple it is: Get to an exit! That being the only goal, it cut out the concept of prolonging my time just for the sake of points and let me focus on solely navigating the environment. However, with that being the basis of the gameplay, I really wish I could鈥檝e seen better overall textures, but they aren鈥檛 exactly bad either.

You have achieved an example of less being more in this case! Congrats and solid game!

Enjoyed this one. Felt solid to play and I liked the distance to goal indication.

Developer

Thanks so much, makes me really happy to read your remarks!

Fun game, especially for a tester.  That one jump in the second level was so rage inducing the endorphin rush when you get past it was a legal high. The character is so cute though, what did he do to get sent to Hell and expected back again? XD

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! When designing, I just tweaked the level enough so that my 5 year old can reach the end. Later on I got stuck on that level myself lol. I think this might not be the actual hell, but some kind of death sport, participants have to wear a uniform and hide their faces.

Well now I have been shown up by a 5 year old. FML XD

Developer(+1)

You and me both.

Well cool project! Give me Agony vibes but in 2D! Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words, I am elated that you felt that way about the experience!

Very cool as a test project, and I like the hotter/colder using the distance from the end destination, that was cool

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much, loved playing your game also.

This scream :D adorable!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. Speaking of adorable, I enjoyed your game also! :)

WTH, Short and simple :D I enjoyed it.  Though I would've like more variety but I totally understand. If you get a chance check out the game I made, also using gdevelop.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for checking it out, definitely I am going over at your game now.

I like the aesthetics. Rather small game but I like that you used the game jam to learn a new engine! It's still on my list to do a game jam with Godot instead of Unity :)

Developer

Godot is great, I prefer it over Unity as that thing is like a mammoth cargo ship. The only games I make are during game jams while trying to learn a new engine, its a strange pattern. Thank you for the comment.

Loved the synth soundtrack! I did get the feeling of hell, that's for sure

Developer

Thanks so much, that is very encouraging to hear.
