Really cool idea! I died after I got hit by a wide piano :D

Wish I knew when the fans were finished talking  tho

Art & Music fit well together. I think if the camera could display more vertically, it will help me to have more time to avoid falling objects. Overall good job!

first thing that caught my eye was the graphics and Loved the concept. good job.

An absolutely great game! The art is one of the best I have seen in this game jam. At first I didn't understand the controls, but that's my fault for not reading the description.

Overall, great game, loved playing it!

Took a few attempts to work out that the fans were telling you the upcoming patterns but once I did it became a quite interesting memory and dexterity game.

Good attempt at trying to make it more interesting to move but I found the best strategy was to just spam the left and right mouse button.

Really great art, sound, theme and music!

Very nice game! I really like the controls, it's not something you see a lot. Really nice work on aesthetics, and your itch page looks great!

Good job, keep creating games!

Boy, do I love this art and this idea in general (though, I want to know more about WHY this king has no pants!). It is pretty punishing how you have to make it up to the next score of fans real quick, or you won't be getting the instructions of what'll be falling where next. I actually wasn't able to make it to the 3rd group of peasants...

I had a lot of fun with it though, great work you guys!

Developer

Why the king has no pants, you ask? Because those are for peasants and he ain't one! In all seriousness, he probably had a traumatic experience with pants once. The peasants will tell you the upcoming few falling objects, we didn't make that clear enough; we had no time, every jam's problem ;) But the waves won't trigger before you get there, so you don't have to worry about that. Thanks for the feedback! In the future we will definitely try to focus more on a tutorial of some sorts.

Thank you, this was a mystery that was boggling my mind! Now I can finally sleep peacefully... And I hope the king can too, without pajama pants. 😂

Oh no, that was totally clear! You guys did a pretty good job of conveying that, actually. But I did see the waves of falling objects triggering before I reached the peasants. I think there were 4-5 waves of objects before I reached the 3rd group, in one lucky instance? But yeah, overall well done!

Developer

Aha, I misunderstood your comment then. Actually 4-5 waves of objects before the 3rd group is normal, the difficulty of the game just scales up waaaaay too quick. I know someone who had over 30000 score, which means he had to remember, like, 32 waves of objects per round. I have no idea how. But yeah, we kinda rushed the level difficulties... whoops

Holy crap... Is your friend Quicksilver or The Flash? 🤣

Must be...

Great submission. Grate idea, fun gameplay. The only thing I miss is some indication, that the crowd has finished with the instrucions. I found myself starting to climb too early a couple times, or waiting for too long to see if there would be more instructions, only to be hit by the first of the falling stuff. Other than that, great stuff. Good job! :)

Thanks for the feedback! You are totally right, there are a couple of things which aren't quite clear within the game. Also, the difficulty curve is pretty harsh. But that's just what we learn from :) Glad you liked it, though.

Really fun gameplay. Clicking the left and right mouse buttons does get tiring quick, but overall loved it!

The graphics are great, and the control scheme was pretty fun. Soundtrack is so bomb
