Liked where this went with the theme. I felt the music didn't quite fit with the gameplay but was good for the menu. It would've been nice to have sounds for swinging and hitting as well. I liked the health mechanic but felt that it changed way to fast. esspeicailly in early gameplay, making one mistake meant you died as you would reach an enemy intime to balance it out. The and the controsl felt a little weird to me being left/right for a top/bottom view, maybe W/S or up/down arrows would've been better.
Still a good entry, Well Done !
Thanks so much for playing and your honest review!
Nice symmetry but nasty controls. Good interpretation of the theme.
Thanks for playing! Really appreciate the Feedback :D
Nice style! And I really like playing "two characters at the same time".
I just noticed something like a cooldown on my hits? (or maybe my keyboard was laggy. Dont know). The forced delay between the hits makes it feel a little clunky
Yeah, if you miss, so by that I mean when you don't hit a target, you get punished with a little delay for 2 seconds. Thanks for playing tho!
Neat game! The symmetry was interesting, but it took me a couple tries to realize that you had to balance out the health (should have read the description a little closer I suppose).
It would be nice if the enemies stood out a little more --- they blended into the backgrounds as-is. Each individual sprite was fairly simple, but you did a good job combining them (gotta love parallax).
Thank you so much for your honest review, we really appreciate that! Yeah, we didn't have enough time to really do a tutorial in the game itself, so the best way we could tell the player what to do, is the description. Thanks for playing tho.
it was too hard to remember which control was which, and I wasn't sure of the story or anything, but the art was really cool
Thank you so much for playing tho! Yeah, we meant to do it that way, so you need to be quite good at multi tasking to get far in this game. We didn't have enough time to really implement the story we thought of in the game. We wrote some hints in the description tho.
