The camera is zoomed in way too close. Sprites are blurry and have many gaps. Cool mechanic with the safes but a bit unclear how to go past them at first.

Hey there! Thanks for your input :D

Cool entry!
The idea of pressing a button quickly with your mouse seems like an interesting concept for a platformer like this.

In terms of feedback:
The speed of the character is a bit high, in my opinion, which can be fine if the game is designed around it. In this case, I don't really feel like I'm ever fully in control. There's a bit too much gravity, so jumps feel very quick and difficult to control. Overall, I don't think I'd have a problem with this game feel if maybe you popped the camera back a bit, maybe gave it some damping so it didn't follow you perfectly and instantly, and maybe stopped it from going past certain coordinates in the level. It can be a bit disorienting for it to follow your character perfectly while you jump since jumps are so quick.
I think the gaps where you have to crouch aren't really too evident. You can only know they're there because you can't move past otherwise.
You could maybe recreate your levels using tilemaps, it feels a bit odd to have ground tiles used as objects since they also have inconsistent sizes and stuff.
The music seems a bit quiet!

Keep up the good work!

My best score: 4

Gameplay: 4

Pretty interesting concept, i especially liked the minigame where you have to click on a random part of the screen even though it was confusing at first. Are there levels past 4?

Theme: 3

I mean you are collecting keys and opening gates, but does that count as escaping?

Aesthetics: 3

Artstyle is chaotic, for starters i think you should turn off filtering from the big sprites so they arent blurry. The sprites dont really match even with it off

Sound: 3

Sound does what it needs to, not great not bad

It was pretty fun,  hope you had fun making it:) Keep up the good work!

Good job! Though a bit confusing at first without any tutorial to tell you to click on the "Press" buttons quickly!

I cant really play it, i feel like i cant pass the grey box, even if i jump over it i lose , also i have a resolution bug here is an image

Developer

Hey there! Wasn't able to recreate that, can you walk me through the steps? it seems like it's a resolution bug

Interesting concept, But I found it hard to play because it was a bit too quick for me, maybe having a difficulty option where you can adjust the time to press button accordingly would've helped. And the Ui was all over the place too, i think the issue is with scaling to different resolutions.
