If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
Tortoises that might be acting as spies factor into the plot of the game.

Any additional information for voters?
This only starts out as a basic RPG Maker game, there are twists and jank. The web build is experimental and it is recommended that you download the game if possible.

Woooh! That was an awesome experience! I didn't quite know what to expect, but I didn't expect this!

The game started out about as I'd imagine, but when it deviated from that it was v cool (not necessarily a surprising given the warnings at the beginning, but a great plot twist!

Honestly, the sheer volume of dialogue and story content is amazing. My main problem with RPG Maker games is that I've probably missed something really funny/interesting 😅 but even so I managed to catch many references within this game! Other modifiers, other game ideas??! It did make me laugh. I thought this game really excelled in building the world and characters, and there is definitely some hilariously written dialogue in here!

There is some lovely art complementing the RPG maker-ey stuff in the game.  The clash of styles is really funny, and it's always a bit of a surprise what you see in this!

I got slightly lost after the tortoise scene close to the end, as I completely missed that staircase  and instead went back to my office 😅 other than that though, the game is signposted very well.

The song at the end is hands down excellent! glad you included the MP3 as a separate download so we called all listen at our leisure.

Overall, and especially given the short timeframe this game was made in, this game is remarkably complete and full of great content! Well done!

Aside from the trauma invoked by the corporate world, meetings, and Teams notifications (though Teams was more of a remote learning in university sorta thing more than work) this was great!

The dialogue was dry and witty as per usual with your games, the programmer art (at least on the cover) has continued to gradually evolve, and the game didn't feel like it dragged on for too long with the exception of one part I'll mention later.

The gameplay was more varied than I expected from an RPG maker game, what with the combat, key searching, and the part with the Tortoise. And speaking of tortoise I love the little nod to another game idea in the cafeteria.

The high level of interaction was great, I always loved how many little details and jokes your games scatter throughout. I was surprised how much there was since I knew you had very little time to spend on this. But as someone whose had to work in large corporations, I'm still surprised how well you manage to capture the feeling considering as far as I know you haven't worked for a big corp lol.

The one section I had difficulty with was finding the key for the archives. Since I had gone through and spoken to every NPC I could find before entering the archives I think it must've flushed out my memory of the one I was actually supposed to speak to. And I went back to Keira and she suggested talking to the private guards, which I interpreted as privates acting as guards lol. So I went around talked to all the airforce guys and gave up, wasn't until you told me I remembered the NPC I was supposed to speak to. That was the only part of the game that really dragged and it was my own fault 😳.

But the story progressed in a nice fun way, and I love how the world vaguely tied back into the other games of the Ja Wizardverse. Mostly by just being a weird mish mash of stuff, which is perfect for an iconic SBIG franchise.

And holy shit that ending rap, what a work of art, especially with the metal section! It almost reminded me of the ending rap from Rogue Warrior lmao.

Great work! I'm happy you were able to revisit this world again!

Magic, Military, Turtles, Rapping... what doesn't this game have? I did not know that RPG Maker could export to web these days. It must have come a long way. Talk about a rewarding credit sequence. I appreciated the twists throughout, and the game play was more that I was expecting as soon as I noticed that it was an RPG Maker game. Great job. (especially on the credits) F.Y.I. I played it on web and had no issues.

You really captured the corporate cynicism really well and I enjoy the consistent world and character building, only problem was I got lost easily.

Developer(+1)

Uploaded updated builds of the game (1.0.1 for Windows, 1.0.2 for web). These offer a few QoL improvements like a README for the web build and exit from the menu in the desktop build, moving the saves in the desktop build to a consistent location with other XCVG Systems games, and moving the content warning into the game itself. There are no content changes to this version.

That was a rather unexpected (and surprisingly tasteful) way of including the modifier.
