I loved how you structured this game and built a fake website--it feels SO real to all the tie-in websites for brands and early Neopets and similar experiences. I have also had some of the music get stuck in my head more than once since hearing it. And there is something SO wonderful and charming about having photos of the food with Smoke Box branding, it really makes the whole thing feel so real! And I'm saving Jambon saying YAASS forever for a reaction image hahaha <3

I love the idea of mini-games for each of the mascots ;)
The "fake website" is genious. Love it.
Even more love to the soundtrack.
On top of that: The food designs.
Great stuff here.
I loved Mary Tales and I was really looking forward to seeing your game this year! And you nailed it! Each mini game is imaginative and fun! I love the little songs for each stage, and how you used irl pictures to put your levels together. Of course, the food looks excellent! What a talented family, especially Masterking!
The website idea was really cool, lots of cute art and handmade items! Food looks yummy!~
I think your emulated website integration was an amazing idea. Definitely one of the top games for promoting the restaurant in my opinion.
really really love the meta design of the game presented through the stores website. the games themself are pretty addictive and fun to learn. i played the version before you could continue or level select. so i did a lot of replaying games i had beaten. it was cool to see how quickly you could blow through them when you got the hang of it
A cute collection of mini games! I like the use of hand drawn pictures and photos (the food sure looks delicious). Some of the music was quite catchy too!
Currently done a first playthrough, I'll add more thoughts once I earn 1,000 SBs/work out how to get the ending, but for now:
- Love the music! The Small Fries theme, Glerry's stage and Pitmaster's stage were very good.
- Great variety of minigames, very quick and snappy like a slightly longer WarioWare game.
- Skins were a very nice touch. I started the game immediately ordering food, then finding out it had a redeem code for a skin. Great way to tie The Smoke Box's products and the Small Fries game together.
- Only thing I wish for is a save system, but it's easy enough to leave the game running in a tab and come back to it. Awesome stuff!
This is a neat idea, and the minigames capture the "early 2000's flash game" concept well. I do wish I could just pick which game to play, instead of having to play them in order--I got a little sick of going through Frankie's Dam every time I died, and Squandrick's game is the kind of game I really don't like in general, so I won't get past it. It also seems like the Bronto Ribs are really expensive, so getting them would take a lot of repetitive play (especially since I can only play half the games), so I can't get to the secrets that are presumably behind it.
Thanks, this is really useful feedback. We wanted to put in a save/continue system but ran out of time. However we have now patched in a simple level skip code - see description for details.
Because the Bronte skin dramatically changes the game, we didn't want it to be accessible to people who haven't finished the game already. The main secret of the game is not related to this skin so we don't mind if most players don't unlock it, its more of a fun extra.
