What was the origin story?
A cooking game we conceptualized last year but we never got around to working on it. This Jam gave us the opportunity to bring a team together and make this idea real.
Very impressive what you accomplished for the jam. Music is fire for sure, I had to sit on the title screen for a sec just to listen. I don't know if it's possible to make a cooking game chill tho, cooking seems inherently stressful. Even with all the time in the world I still feel like I'm gonna burn something.
Like the music and graphics. Followed your presentation in the wrapup stream - really good!
The music totally matches the theme. The recipe is very small, so i could not easy read what to do, so i cut the onions and the chalottes more often than recommended. :-)
The game is cute! I like that you can learn a forbidden skill at the beginning, feel it can expand like a skill set you can upgrade/buy, or you need to coop with others with different skillset.
Currently only have fired rice makes it a little boring. some simple recipes and some harder ones combined together might make a better experience!
Looking forward to a multiplayer version of this lol, would be fun!
