This game is adorable and has a surprising bit of depth. I thought it was going to be a very linear barebones experience, so imagine my surprise when I discovered there were optional objectives and I even missed a clue! I played again and found more stuff but then discovered there were even MORE things to discover and do! I stopped at this point, but I must say I am impressed with this game.

Critical points:

  1. "Operating" in "operating system" is misspelled
  2. I would have either liked a HUD or some way of knowing my overall progress on the clues similar to the clocks. Bonus: give the player the ability to guess early and if they guess wrong they get a different ending (I don't know if there already is a different ending because I never guessed wrong)
  3. Menus could bear to be more customized. Strip out the battle-related things so only the information the player needs is presented.

I really like this game overall. Good job!

Yes I admit I didn't polish well as I had my RL motherboard die mid jam. Kinda ironic given what the game is about lol. I lost 2 weeks of dev time rebuilding my pc and getting the files back so I dropped a lot out that I had planned on doing.

Anyway, my goal was a "fun", playable game with no blatant game breaking bugs this time! Now to try and make something better next time.  And yes there are different endings but they are similar enough to not matter too much!

I like the idea of having guesses early!

And I thought I had a small car! lol

The art style is so cute and I love the dialog :D

Ok, so the dog looks like he's dragging his but on the ground when going down and it's hilarious!

Aww this is such a cute game, I love how you have achievements for replay ability too. :D I had no trouble knowing what to do and had fun playing it, Thank you for joining the jam! :D

I didn't make the sprites but I love the old retro look!

Thanks a lot for playing!

Pretty nice. It was a lot more fun than I thought. I got some pretty low scores on a few playthroughs, I guess I missed a lot.

To be honest you can get everything just by clicking on everything. The plants, pictures, lamps, clocks and everything have a text comment attached and I'm pretty sure all of it can be done in like 12 minutes give or take reading time.

Cute game! Fun to see the retro graphics. I was a bit confused why there was this sound every time I checked something, but the achievements at the end explained it. I do feel like a little hint that it matters would have helped, since I'm not sure how many would be inclined to return to the game after beating it. I think I probably would have been more thorough and 100%ed it if I had known. The clocks for example, I found all of them of course!
Glad you got an entry in!

Yeah my computer died in the middle of the jam and I lost almost 2 weeks so I really cut down the game a lot.

Next time :)

Nice experience. The fact that there were secret achievements (I missed nearly all) was a surprise. :P

Glad the experience was good.

I was going to let the player know about the achievements but I thought I'd just leave it a secret :)

Thanks for your review.  As for yours, I don't have windows so I can't play but the screenshots are enough to show how solid your effort is.  I've actually wanted to make a game with Omega Modern as well.

It's a fun pack to use for sure. I really want to find an artist that can add to it though. always find things I want to add :)

Yeah, it'd be perfect if I could do front view, but the enemies are clearly side view skewed, so it limits me as to which characters to use.
