I really enjoyed this one! The sound design was good, I love the sprites, and the lightning striking the flies that remain at level-end is the funniest thing I think I've ever seen lol.

For anyone playing during the jam, look at the Pursuing Pixels frog with the beatbox dance perfectly to the tune of the in-game track hahaha.

My only real criticism is that there should be some indicator for how many shields a  fly has. Some shields seem to take more hits than others, so it would be nice to see what you need. I know the king takes 2 hits every time, but some of the normal ones seemed to need two hits as well, though perhaps it was user error and I wasn't quite hitting them.

Ate the insects, however I couldn't figure out what to do with the moving yellow square.

Love this game! Music and sound fx are super snappy and fun, and coupled with the art, the game is very charming! One little critique that comes to mind: it would be nice to be able to see how many hits are required to remove a shield. Unless it's the same every time. But maybe that would remove too much of the difficulty which I think is in a good spot. But overall I loved it. Nice job!

pretty amazing

some of the sounds are too loud and after I beat the level I don't loose the fly in my mouth, but the game looks fun and I think it should be a roguelike maybe?

I really loved the sprites and animations, great job! I got stuck at the level in my screenshot here. Is the Lord of the Flies supposed to have their shield taken down when you hit with a spike-carrying fly? That wasn't happening and felt like it should have been, since that's the formula with the shield-carrying flies. I think I could have finished it if that was the case! Awesome stuff.

The art and sounds were nice! Pretty fun and satisfying game.

Extremely fun and goofy!

I can't figure out what the large square icons over some big flies mean though.

Lots of love and care went into the visual polish here! The water textures look phenomenal. The transitions are well-crafted, and all of the sprite-work is top-notch.

It seemed like the main strategy was: eat weaker flies to penetrate the shields of stronger flies. Is there a point where the game evolves beyond order-of-operations puzzles?

The title made me crack up - that's a really good-quality pun. Very cute and original!

Also: the soundtrack slaps! Love that tune!

First of all, I love how the king explodes if you shoot another fly at him, that's hilarious. This is a really neat concept, I like the idea of your attack instantly "killing" normal enemies, and only have the one enemy you need to actually attack multiple times. Nice work!
