  • Great artwork The description in the press kit needs more information to tell about what the game's unique features are The tweet is great, but a video is always better Small point - i would like a darker purple on the main menu
  • So this is what you have been up to! LOL But okay, let's get down to business. It has a truly magical aesthetic and the stuff out of a fantasy! Which makes sense when you factor in your gamedev vision and aspiration!! Not to be that guy or anything. But the main menu screen doesn't seem to get me that excited compared to what the other screenshots show. Too simplistic and pink, in my humble opinion. I also would love more gameplay features and the objective; the building seems to be an integral part but what exactly? And the platforming part feels disjointed.
  • Definitely want to work on: 1) Finishing the Prototype and getting it to Demo stage as it's currently early WIP. 2) Updating the content pages including Itch, Press Kit and making a game page etc -- Need to decide the actual name of the game first! 3) Gameplay Trailers -- even though it's a prototype we have some decent gameplay we could capture. Just need to find the time. 4) An actual game trailer -- Would be amazing!
  • Tweet is great, would be nice to see video or a screenshot of something happening!
  • Feedback for our own game goes here. (Testing)

I like the unique setting and overall tone of the game (reminds me a bit of Super Mario 64 or the Ratchet and Clank series). Based on the tweet I know what I'm expecting when I go to look closer.

For areas for improvement I'm not really getting the Puzzler vibe from the screenshots. Maybe a video to highlight this selling point? I'd also like to see a similarly cute player character to match the backgrounds. The current one looks like a different IP entirely.

Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!

Great choice of colours and style is very unique! I'd like to see more gameplay though, maybe a short trailer or animated sequence would give a better idea of how it actually plays. (Though it says it's still a prototype so I understand it may be a bit early for that. Also some more info about the game itself on the Itch page would be good to add.

Thanks for the feedback! Very useful!

Definitely want to work on:

The colour palette is very striking in this, makes your screenshot very eye catching. However I'm a bit confused as to what the game is. Your press kit makes it sound like an asset pack? Or a game builder like Dreams or Mario Maker. Your tweet says it's a puzzle platformer. It might be both, but as a reader I'm a little confused unfortunately.

I think an animation/gif/video of some sort may help clear some things up if that's possible? And work on the way you describe your game to others :)  try getting other people to play your game, and get them to describe the game back to you.

Per below: The idea is a short game to showcase some asset packs. Both game and assets are still in early prototype stage so it's definitely a WIP across the board -- including how to present it -- lol

Sounds like, would be an interesting game to play..can't wait to test my brain on those puzzles..good luck with #PitchYaGame.

Thanks for reviewing and the kind words! Best of luck to you too! :-)

Really like the screenshots and look of the game!

I'm a bit confused on the gameplay, so you might want to explain better what the player specifically does while they play the game. What types of puzzles do they solve? What kind of actions can they do? That sort of thing :)

+ Like finding a unicorn! That colorful and hopeful sensation.
+ Beautiful!! I can't wait to hear what it sounds like~
+I like that you came prepared and thorough with the pitch. Shows your determination!

- Concerns about how aspects of the game would gel.
- Main menu design which could be WIP. If so, cool!!

Please feel free to do a 10 minute playthrough and let us know how to improve the gameplay. ;-)

I like the envrionment and the general look. But I think there should be call action feeling in the twitt to move people to your platform..

Developer

Agreed and one of our key pieces of feedback to most people.

Unfortunately Twitter limits suck and we had to choose between acknowledging @InsertDragon or a Call to Action so we chose the acknowledgement -- lol

A bit of gameplay would help. Environment is nice - love the giant blackberries :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

We only just managed to get the game demo to a first pass playable state for the jam so the "marketing" is very lite right now.

Agreed: High on the list would be some gameplay clips.

We'd also like to work on a short trailer -- maybe once we have actually finalised the name of the game. 😅
