Which path did you choose?

Fresh Build

How does your game bring our theme, OUT OF TIME, to life?
Player units are frozen in time until a time field is created. A timer shifts the cards in your hand each turn, forcing the player to act quickly.

What did you do to ensure accessibility of the game?
You can play directly on the itch.io webpage on both PC and mobile. The controls use only the mouse (or a touchscreen on mobile devices), with just two inputs: click and drag.

The art style is welcoming to everyone, and the gameplay is simple (but deep).

Nice idea, I liked the chaos after some turns, but deploying units was a little bit clunky and sometimes I didn't draw the card for some reason and not sure about deploying eneimes yourself where you want, but interesting idea and fun game.

Very unique idea placing the enemies yourself in a tower defence game, I don't think I've seen that before. The time field is a neat concept too. I did find it getting slightly repetitive after a while, maybe decreasing the length of each turn as you go further into the game could help keep the pressure up? Still had fun with it though!

Good job, you guys really cooked! I really liked the idea, but unfortunately the difficulty wasn't increasing, I was having fun, but the game wasn't getting hard. I really liked the idea, it would be much more challenging if you didn't let the player choose the enemy spawn location because I can just stack a bunch of defenses in one place, then enemies get one shot. But overall, the game is definitely fun a very strong entry.

I have to admit the weakest part of this game is the progression and difficulty. We couldn’t really do much about that because our game data designer’s computer broke during the jam (he already got a new PC in this jam XD). As for the enemy spawn locations, I designed some mechanics to prevent the player from spawning enemies in the same place, but I couldn’t implement it in time.

By the way, thanks for playing and for your kind words! I enjoyed your game too.
