Classic rage game platformer, not my cup of tea, I also feel the theme is not really there, its more rage mechanic stuff than "bugs" or "error" but it might be me not liking the genre speaking there, good assets tho

Developer

To be honest, I also think I could've made something that would fit the theme better, but this was the first thing I came up with so I decided to stick with it since there was very little time. There are definitely more creative games in this game jam than what mine is, so I get what you're saying. Still, thank you for playing!

Great art and sound integration. The transition scene also kind of satisfying (except when you died repeatedly hahaha). We have kind of similar idea, but I implemented it in a puzzle game. You will love it, check it out!

Developer

Thank you! I'll make sure to give your game a try as well :D

Nice take on the theme! The sounds and art style fit together perfectly.

I managed to get soft locked in the level after the one shown in the first two screenshots. I went back to the spawn point after the gravity flipped and wasn't able to progress (yes, I did start over so that I could finish).

I enjoyed this one. Great work!

Thank you for playing! It's honestly kind of embarrassing that I didn't think of going back to the spawn point in that level during playtesting haha. Oh well, I guess It's a Feature now. I could've added something like holding R to restart the level just in case, but that's something to keep in mind for other projects. Thanks for deciding to play the entire game again despite that issue :D

Some meta talk for a moment before we dive into the game: I feel some users might rank the art low but the cohesive style, clean display, color palette, and font all show a brilliant art direction that's worth 3-4 stars. I think too many developers focus on "does this game look bespoke?" when rating art styles instead of asking themselves the practical questions about how a game displays itself.

The gameplay is fun, not too punishment with the short levels but enough of a challenge to get you into the feedback loop of wanting to solve it and progress. The usage of swapping out features and ambushing the player with these changes felt fair and was not too punishing. This is one of the more innovative jam submissions, looking forwards to seeing what else you put out!

Thank you for the feedback, it means a lot! A simple art style is often enough if the game itself is also fairly simple. This was my first time actually using a color palette instead of just mixing colors together and seeing what happens, and I also think I've managed to make it fit with the rest pretty well.
