While fine-tuning the controls for a car I accidentally created a monstruosity, a monstruosity that stayed in the game and became the main feature of it.

Haha I don't know what I was expecting when I booted up your game but it sure delivered on the premise.

I think the audio helped sell the vibe very well. The visuals is pretty simple but I think it's pretty fitting with the concept.

The gameplay is very funny, although with the same map and only 4 levels, it felt a little short. I don't even know how you managed to code that control scheme haha. I didn't like how the environment seem to deal the same amount of damage to the car regardless of its speed (as far as I can tell). I would have liked it to deal damage based on my velocity I think.

Overall fun, short entry, wish it was longer though. Good job :)

thank you so much! I can confirm that the damage you take actually is based on velocity (if I remember correctly you can even die in one hit if you're going fast enough), I think it isn't clear at all because there's no health bar or something of the sort.
If you're curious about the control scheme, I really just messed something up changing the angle of the velocity during turns. When I saw what atrocity I accidentaly created, I thought it was very funny and decided to flip my original idea around.

When the jam is officially over, I'd absolutely love to add new levels to this and to make it slightly less infuriating to play

The game is beautiful - the art is amazing. But I don't think the "error is the feature" feature should be limited to just the A and D keys. Because even with the in-game boosters, you could have created something enjoyable. I saw the potential in your eyes.

That sure was unwieldly!

First of all, banger cover image, i love it. it's fun, the weird controls turned it almost more into a puzzle game. I also liked the warbly car sounds. Great Job!

I like the environment, driving through it was nice, minus all the (car) crashing.  I also like the 2d sprite used for the car, the 2d/3d mix is nice.  car was hard to control as intended, but got a hold of it pretty quickly!

It was embarrassing how long it took me to figure out how to drive straight... I had fun with it! Enjoyed the unique way you found to break the controls.

I likedthe graphics and loved how you managed to give the goofy little car 'character' with the way it rocks and bumps about. I have to admit though I didn't really enjoy the mechanic of the controls bugging out. I also pretty quickly worked out if you just tap forward it drives fine which removed the challenge. Maybe if you layered on bugs it might work better, so first level the car drives fine, then one thing breaks and the player needs to adapt, then next level another thing breaks etc. so each level gets harder and more buggy but the player is eased into it

thank you! I think your ideas are great, personally if I were to change stuff in my game I would put at the very least a time limit in the levels, in order to actually force the player to drive a bit dangerously

Honey, the car is bumping on invisible walls again!

Funny little game, I really enjoyed goofing around with physics. Legend has it that Einstein once understood how this car functions, but I personally don't believe in such fairytales.
