How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
Our game is built using our own custom engine that we have been working on for a little while now, We think using this unfinished ( and a little bit problematic ) engine helps a lot to play into the theme of this game jam as many systems are not fully devolved or implemented how we would like them. Our game does not have many mechanics but the mechanics we did add we tried adding little bugs such as falling cubes causing the player to go flying in the air if it lands on you which also allows you to speed run the game if used to your advantage, or the cubes the player spawns not being affected by gravity so you can use it to escape the debug room.

The game suffers from mademyownengineitis, but it's cool I guess.
I like the speedrun tech. but v short.
Still, I beat the world record and everyone else can suck it.
Pretty impressive that you guys are doing your own engine and submitting a project with it. Definitely looks good.
Tbh though, I don't see it as a "game" much, more like a tech demo, so I can't comment much on the gameplay aspect of it. The physics is kinda funny, I don't know how you achieved that.
Very nice visual effects, even though it's just cubes. Like the other commenters have said, the controls feel too hard to use so most of the time I don't know what's happening around me.
Very cool it's a custom engine though. Excited to see where you go next with this.
thanks and yea we more wanted to use the quick game jam to find what we wanted to work on next with the engine as it still very unfinished ( i ended up getting distracted a lot with engine code rather than working on the game code ) and sorry about the controls i forgot to add control setting until after the jam.
It's awesome that you were able to make this using your own game engine. I liked how the cubes would send the player flying. The mouse sensitivity was a bit low, I found it difficult to turn. Nice work :)
thanks also sorry about the mouse sensitivity i forgot to add control settings during the jam
Interesting game! I feel like I'm playing a parkour version of Minecraft. It's really cool that you built this with your own engine. :) However, I haven't figured out how to destroy the cubes I've placed, and the camera can only move within a limited angle, which makes the game difficult to finish.
thanks and the cubes you place and that are falling will stay forever as they are just meant to help platform you out of the room and sometimes send you flying :) also sorry about the camera sensitivity i forgot to add a sensitivity slider until after the jam
Game looks great, music is good too but maybe loops a bit to often. Also please turn up the camera sensitivity. Otherwise it is impressive that you have your own engine.
sorry about the camera sensitivity i ended up adding a controls settings after the jam was over
AMAZING THAT THEY'RE CREATING THEIR OWN ENGINE. I LIKED THE LOOK, rate my game too if you can.
thanks ill check out your game i like the retro look of it
