Description
I envisioned that the game for the "inside my world" theme could be something like a slice-of-life narrative game.
The intro theme, "Come Inside", is meant to loop over a start screen. I enjoy the "blooming" feeling some intro themes have, since it is the player's first contact with the game, and gives the sense of boundless possibility. Given that the game would be character-driven, I felt like this matched the theme in so much that the people you meet also have possibilites within them - "What are they like once you get to know them?", "How may this person come to touch my life at some in the future?"
The theme "Hangin' Around" was meant to be a less serious concept. Maybe played in an "overworld" type setting. What does it feel like to just spend a day hanging out with your friends?
To connect the two, I tried interleave an octave leap motif that appears in both - most noticeable in the first bar of the intro piece.
The fun story is that when I heard the OST Jam started, I was on vacation at a BnB with a baby grand piano. The intro theme was drafted staff paper using that piano on a rainy day.
I used FL Studio to create the tracks. Since it was primarily piano-based music, I first thought to keep it "Chamber"-esque, so I used Spitfire Chamber Strings throughout.

Love this! Your usage of the instruments was very competent, especially the piano. Both compositions were engaging and had a strong theme. I really enjoyed this, thank you for sharing!
Very pretty and endearing short songs.
Come inside - has very much that lovingly character like a mother calling her children in. Heartwarming.
Hangin’ out – nails that naïve and cheeky feeling of some friends hanging out together and having a blast of time. Also your work on the Rhodes and the additional chord voicings are done handsomely.
Wonderful work!
CATTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!, and even though it's 2 tracks it conveys exactly what you what you said in the description veery WeeeLLLL DonE 🦕
Hangin around is a lot of fun and really catchy! It really does fit a slice of life visual novel to me so really good job!
Wow, the intro is both melancholic and romantic at the same time. It’s very, very beautiful, combining warmth and coldness thanks to a well-constructed orchestration; the strings move and sound great. The switch to the second track is also very well executed: the rhythm and mood change, and it feels like you’re diving right into the heart of the story.
Really nice piano playing, not sounding MIDI or robotic at all, thank you for that. The arrangement is well made. You can probably drop some EQ on some annoying frequencies on the piano and enhance a little bit more the bass you have space to do it, I think it will embelish everytime and make everything sounds even smoother. Good job !
Cute cat! So orange and fluffy
Oh yeah, and I guess the music was nice too...
(seriously though, loved the piano)
What a beauty! The first track is EVERYTHING! Beautiful harmonies and melody, so contemplative with so many beautiful chords gosh! I wish to be able to do something that qualitative in the future. Absolutely amazing!
Hangin'Out while not as gut-wrenching is 1000% true to the title, you did an incredible job with it too, it really feels like taking a stroll around the city with a friend!
Beautiful!! The harmonies and melodies work reaaally well!
In the first track, the first chord sets the tone! I would maybe have liked the strings in the middle a little bit on the first plan as they are doing the melody and the piano only the accompaniement!
Loved the chill atmosphere of the songs. Really fits the theme. Amazing work!
Day 2 of Rating Submissions with Few Ratings to Hopefully Get Some In Return
Your tracks, particularly the piano playing, have a cozy soft quality to them - not unlike that cute catto in the thumbnail! I am wondering, is that an acoustic piano you micd? It sounds surprisingly warm and analogue and sticks out even from the rest of the instrumentation. Of all the "wholesomecore" OST`s I heard during this jam so far, I might like this one the best.
The cat is indeed not only cozy, but also soft!
It was a VST piano. I think I used "The Giant" from Native Instruments? So technically it was a real piano at some point ;)
When I re-listened earlier today, I had a similar thought to it being warm and pronounced, perhaps a little too much compared to the strings..... but I guess that's what happens when you mixdown the night before a deadline, and it worked out well enough.
Thank you for listening!
Saw the cat pic and immediately clicked. I love me a good piano heavy driven soundtrack! ᓚᘏᗢ
This is a gorgeous entry. Love your piano parts here. Well done!
Beautiful! Just so full of live! Great piano elements. As a pianist, I really liked it and found it very creative and moving. Both songs were good. Great job!
Lovely piano elements, especially in Come Inside. I love the story of having a baby grand in your vacation home that you could brainstorm on. It almost seems serendipitous. I agree that these tunes would go well in a narrative game. Nice work!
Loving the harmonies being done here! favorite track is definitely come inside. from the piano to the high voices, I feel the emotion its so good! Great work!
Beautiful chords and piano (and cat :3)! Sounds really dreamy. And great kind of jpop vibe with hangin' out
