Cool - it's neat to find an approach to the Jam that's really unique!

Random question - would you mind if I made something based off of this? It's begging for a Warehouse 13 version.

Developer(+1)

of course you can! that sounds awesome :)

Congratulations on the game! Redaction as a game mechanic is such a fun idea and the layout and design work looks great. Excellent job!

Developer

Thank you! much appreciated :)

Oh, I'm betting this has the power to fuel many a worldbuilding fire among friends who already do it. OCs abound! lol. But you go about it in an interesting way with blacking things out, it gives it an authentic feel. I hope your game page is littered with redacted pages from players in the comments. I bet those would be super for you to see.

Forwarding the others on layout, this is great! Specifying the marker and ball-point pen is especially cool gamefeel (I wonder if a clipboard would add to the feel). Is there anything the other agents can do in Section 1+2 where one is writing/redacting? Kudos on a tight game!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much! :) ooh a clipboard is a fun idea. Ive reworded it slightly to make it clearer in the game but each person playing writes a report, so then everyone has something to do each phase of the game.

I love that clipboard idea! I can easily see a version of the game involved in a long car trip or even walking around on a hike outside where behaviors and attributes can pop up "organically" for players and a clipboard would facilitate that so easily.

This is awesome! I never thought I'd see a SCP inspired game! The game seems like it will be a fantastic storytelling game, and I'm going to have to try this out.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Big fans of SCP here, it’s so interesting to read through so i wanted to emulate that feeling. Hope you have a blast playing it! When i playtested i found a photo of a box and a cat in my phone and ended up writing a piece about parasitic cats that arrive at your door step in a box. Upon first inspection they are docile and affectionate, then creep their way to your spine where they use their claws to take over your motility and control you. I’m keeping an eye on my own cat now haha

A redaction game?? Very clever! Love the vibe and the layout too, nicely done!

Developer(+1)

many thanks! layouting a game to match the game vibe is so satisfying :)
