Probably spent the most time on this game. Addictive, has that just-one-more-time feel. I got stuck when I had to jump over the saw after the two disappearing blocks, it has to be pixel perfect. Super punishing but great fun!

Developer

Thank you!

The controls felt quite responsive, they weren't clunky, and the game looked rather cool.

However some jumps felt like they were near frame perfect, at least really precise. This was rather rare as most of the time it seemed fair. (I just wanted to nitpick a little)

Overall nice game.

Developer

Thanks!

Fun and challenging Platformer! I find that sometimes I can move left and right but I can't jump or slide. Anyway, my game is a simple platformer like yours, if you would like to try it https://retrorealms.itch.io/nokia-pirate

Developer

Yup, there's a bug that I'm waiting for the end of the ratings to patch. Thanks for playing!

Really cute and well-polished platformer. I loved how responsive it is, and the animations are great

Developer

Thank you!

Some jumps are a little too tight but I really like the fast pace movement of this. This is a great game

Developer

Thank you!

I really liked what I played!

Unfortunately, In the second level after the tutorial levels, I would either start the area not being able to jump or slide, or I would die in that area and then restart not being able to jump or slide. I had to keep restarting the game to get back to that point, but it kept happening to me.  I really did enjoy controlling the character and navigating the world, and I'll come back to play more.

Developer

Hey, you mean it was it buggy and non-responsive? Is it on level 6? where you start in a small room that you have to slide out from?

Submitted

Yes! Sometimes it would let me slide, but occasionally I would start the room not being able to do anything.

Developer

Yes, thanks. I managed to replicate the bug and fix it. I will upload the patch once the ratings are over.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear it. I'll be back after ratings are over.

This is so great!!! Had to rage quit, which is a plus for such games. It really feels like a 3310 game! The art was pretty good and clean as well!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! Rage quitting is good 😂

I really enjoyed this! It's quick, it's pretty challenging, although I do have some feedback:

- Think that the FPS could be a little higher for the sake of making the controls feel better, as 15 is not a requirement
- Hitboxes can be funky

+ Love the graphics
+ Love the dash
+ Tutorial is really nice and quick
+ Love how varied the levels can be (especially the last)

Overall, really nice, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank for playing! I agree, the game benefits from going at 60fps and I know that 15 wasn't a requirement but I wanted to see if I could make it work. Thanks for the feedback!

This really stand out from other platformers in jam that I played so far, mainly because of game speed but also because of level of polish with sounds and screen transitions. My suggestion would be to try to explore the idea of smaller rooms or maybe camera moved more far away , so more of a room is in screen at one time. Overall I really enjoyed this one, thank you.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Those are very kind words :) I have been thinking exactly the same thing, pulling the camera back so you can do this style of platforming with a more static camera.

This was tough! It's a real nice contrast to the slower, more methodical platformers submitted. I wish I could've played more, but I didn't have the gamer skills to beat the level with the moving spike wall, R.I.P.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The moving wall is a tricky level ands it only gets tougher after that one 😂
