Well-polished and nice puzzle game! I found two things confusing: it's not very obvious where the electron is at any point (especially at the start), and it's not obvious what you have to do to win. (Go through the "hollow" point? Once it's been "opened"? I think that's it, but I never did actually work out the rule. I think that if you decide to come back to this then making these a little bit more obvious (which would be a lot easier in a version without such stringent graphical restrictions) and then of course adding a bunch more levels would make this a complete game; it's a really nice and elegant proof of concept!

Developer

Aye, thank you for playing it.

The little 'doors' that you open using the switches was the main mechanic in my original idea, and it stemmed from the ON/OFF theme from the jam. I spent a long time implementing everything else, though, and it ended up very rushed and cobbled together.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, this was precisely the feedback I was looking for. :]

i think there's a bug in the first level of CIRCUIT where it didn't let me win and i had to restart to get it to work

Developer

Was it majorly bugging out? Like, player flying all over the place - I've experienced a game breaking bug like that if you repeatedly focus the window before the game starts.

no everything was normal but when i reached the exit it would play the fail sound and restart the level instead of going to level 2.

i tried all the ways i could of ending the level while completing the circuit and i thought i didn't understand the rules until i realised it was a bug and refreshed the page. i haven't seen that bug again since then.

Short and sweet, I dig it. The mechanic you've got here has SO much potential it's unreal. If you ever develop the game further I'd definitely play it again!

Thank you! I definitely will flesh it out eventually. It's very much a proof of concept as it is.

Nice and short game with an interesting idea. I could imagine it can get confusing if the levels got bigger and more congested on this platform. It was fun to play through with an easy mechanic.

Certainly the resolution hindered the complexity of the levels, so if I ever do revisit the idea, it will definitely have a larger resolution. Thank you for playing and rating!

It was very confusing at first, but then I figured it out. Idea is cool, I love this type of puzzle games

- it wasn’t very apparent where I, the electron, am

- the graphics are overall a bit crowded and confusing

+ ..but still they’re nice and simple

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and for playing. :]

Will keep that in mind if I ever come back to the idea.
