Simple entertaining action platformer and has a lot of nice content, for example bosses!

Myself, however I would like to give a shout out to Xaltain from Game Development Underground for inspiring me on some of the level design and other ideas.

Neat game! I included it in my Mini Jam 3rd Edition compilation video, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Wow, I'm honored and watching it right now, thank you very much!! :)
Love the style of the game. Ode to Mario with the design. Very creative how you created the first boss in level one out of the assets we had to use. The enemies were challenging to dodge in the 2nd level. I started to try and just jump around them instead of shoot them. Love the variation in the layout of the board, especially the 2nd level and the drop area with little gravity. Very nice touch to change up the pace. You accomplished something really nice and fun over a weekend, and I love you implemented xbox controller support. I used the gamepad and it made it very enjoyable, and made it easier to evade the enemy in some cases. Well done!
I agree with some of the other comments that the enemies were a little too hard. There is very little room before they reach you and often jump right away making them near impossible to hit. I think if they were slower it would be better. The controls: key pad + controls mess with my Mac. If I hit ctr+up at the same time it opens up all my tabs. Shake screen done well, I felt like my attacks did damage.
Also wanted to say how creative the bosses were!
Thanks for the feedback, especially pertaining to the mac! If you have an XBOX 360 controller that you can plug in to the Mac, it should work, but I don't know how Mac treats those kind of controllers. I use to have a Mac, if I still did I would test my games on them as well to make sure they were okay.
Enemies definitely could be a pain, I just got too use to them and their patterns over the weekend and didn't have any testers before uploading, so I will have to agree that at least slowing them down would have been good and possibly adjusting their jumping.
This is a great game, as well as a nice spin off of super mario.
I enjoyed playing this game, although the enemies were a little bit too hard to kill. Try making them either slower or have more space in front of them.
I thought that a really cool graphical feature of this game was the scrolling background. It really added a nice sense of depth to the game.
Also, don't listen to the Roblox kid
I appreciate it, and yes, I agree with you on the enemies, gauging difficulty is tough when developing though, because you play the game so much you just master it, I should have had it tested. Ah, yeah, the Roblox guy, I got a good laugh out of that. I would have probably actually downloaded Roblox to play his game had he not ripped on mine like that, plus I saw him ripping on other people. I'm 33 years old, I can handle constructive criticism. Also, Red Riding Hood is totally not immature, I mean, we all know what happens in that story, it's pretty R rated stuff if you really think about it!! Can't wait to play your game, I hope I'm in time to still rate it, I had to leave for awhile to do some business, ugh.
Wow. that was intense. This is a nice platformer, and although it is very simple, it gets the job done. The bosses are an AMAZING touch.
Thanks!! This is my second MiniJam in a row, I'm really enjoying these, looking forward to MiniJam 4th Edition for sure!!
good! i like the music choices, they're super weird in a good way, and the sound effects are deliciously crunchy
a little health recovery powerup or something would have been useful before the boss fights, because they're pretty fun and i think i'd have enjoyed them more if i didn't have to be super careful in them or have a little breathing room to learn the patterns without having to replay the level
good job!
Thanks! Yeah, I was originally intending on health power-ups, but I was worried about the game being too easy. Which difficulty is hard to gauge for me because I end up memorizing all the patterns and have to remind myself constantly, that it's not going to be the same way for other people playing.
Overall really fun game! The parelax scrolling was a nice touch and the sound effects made the game feel alive! I loved the boss design aswell :)
