Decent job! The presentation is really good (clean sprites, sounds).
The procedural generation works well, and everything is well-rounded.

I would say that enemies are a bit too overwhelming, and that skeletons spawn way too often for their toughness (it takes about 5 hits to kill one), which renders some levels straight up impossible.

Overall, this is pretty well-rounded.

Whoa! This game is crazy good! The sprites, animations and even the music is top notch. I don't even want to know how you implemented the Leaderboard, but it appears to work! I don't like how enemies consistently spawn, I prefer games where the difficulty ramps up into that after you are multiple levels deep. But otherwise totally awesome game!

Wow, thank you very much! Well the consistent spawning was the core idea, that you move - enemy spawns. If you stay too long on a level, there will be too many enemies, so you need to move quickly, and possibly use the skip turn as few times as you can. Difficulty ramps up by making each level bigger than the previous one (that means more time travelling -> more enemies) and I thought that worked. Thank you for your feedback and I am happy you enjoyed the game!

I like how you did the dialogue in the beginning, and the transition scenes where you get the powerup! I got surrounded by enemies a lot and they just ripped me to shreds...  Very nice presentation!

Developer

Thank you! I was wondering if the dialogue was enough of a tutorial and then the player can learn other things on the go. I am glad you liked it, and the transition scenes!

This game is complex but cool, i got killed on the very first level so often i gave up but the effects, art, sound and music are really well done! :D

Thank you very much! :)

This feels like a puzzle-dungeon-crawler. That combination is pretty rare and I like it (eventhough I might not be smart enough for that one)!

Nice Graphics and sound, only the pixel-art and the non-pixel-art dont fit together that good. And I feel like the second level is already impossible when you don't get the damage upgrade after the first one.

All in all great work!

Developer

Thank you! Right now it is more luck-based than a puzzle, I need to update the game with some new features to make it more skill-based and logic-based game. I wondered if the pixel+nonpixel art would fit well together, I see that some may not like it. I am glad you enjoyed the game!

Played the game for sometime. The graphics and gameplay feels really good. Totally fits the limitation and with some variation in enemies it will become more fun and challenging for the players. Overall its a strong entry

Spent a while on the game. Very good concept and game. With some new enemies it could be a very deep strategy game.

Biggest problem right now is luck. Most roguelikes have lots of random factors so that on average your skill determines the outcome of the run more than luck. Some limits or some guaranteed rewards instead of everything random would have been better.

+ madlad even added an online leaderboard system. Got 1st place (520 points)

Wow, thank you very much! Adding more enemies or pickups would be easy now as everything is set up, I was just tired and didn't add them as I thought it wouldn't make the game better, because I felt like the completely random generation was a bad idea already. I struggled a lot with the luck/random part and I couldn't come up with anything that would improve it. Adding some guaranteed rewards, "choose one of these two buffs" system (like you have - choose one of the three upgrades) is a great call and I should have thought about it!

Thank you very much for your comment. Congratulations on your first place! :)

Nice concept, the turn-based combat works well, although I found it very easy to get surrounded by enemies with more than one health after the first level.

Sprites and the level look nice and clean, the presentation here is very good. Good job!

Thank you very much! Yes, after the first levels the Skeletons may appear, who take 2 hits to kill. Or you can pick up an attack boost randomly appearing in the levels and between levels and then you would kill them in one hit! Thanks again.
