I had fun playing this, and I really liked the simple concept and controls. My main problem is that the game is pretty dang difficult. I would love to be able to flick the frog by clicking anywhere on the screen. But, I thought the level design, allowing the player to choose their own path, is a cool idea. Also the presentation was kind of lacking, but this is really impressive for your first game jam. Congratulations!
i’ve thought about this some, and i’m convinced the game would be more enjoyable if you could click-and-flick anywhere rather than just on the ball itself
a trackball mode that just does cursor tracking to let us trackball users play it like the arcade monkeyball would be really neat too :3
I liked it. It'd benefit from easier controls/an indication of where the ball is going with my mouse (although I can guess it)
Very cool game. It was extremely infuriating but did make me play for a while. Well done.
As soon as it told me not to fall, I fell. Fun game, but a little hard to control.
My nongamer girlfriend played it. She thougt it was fun and challenging. But she couldn't get past the part with " no direction". Could have used a checkpoint in the middle or some indicator towards the next part as she out of frustration ended it early because it became to hard to fast.
Yeah, the limitation of only a single level made me a bit frustrated since I originally planned to make 5 levels which increase in difficulty (probably 3 easy-medium ones and two brutally difficult levels).
That section is quite a bad training section for the hopping/jump mechanic. In hindsight, I should've made it more linear instead of making it too open. Probably have an arrow which indicate the next checkpoint, too.
Thanks for the input, I'll keep that in mind^^.
super monkey ball + frog = super frog ball!! :D this was fun!!! frog hop controls worked surprisingly well for this -had a lot of fun! especially trying to land shortcut jumps off the tall ramp xD -really liked this game -awesome work!! :D
a bit confusing to learn but i had fun!! theres something so funny about seeing the frog ball roll around
Very fun, I like how you implemented the movement in this. The perspective was a nice choice as well!
