that was a cute idea! wish I could shoot to the left, the crows got me from that side way too much! but nice job!
Good game !
I'm just wondering why the duck can't shoot to the left ?
Nice game!
I really liked the duck character and its animations and I think the platforming and level design is well made.
I had some difficulties with the jumping and also I ended up stuck in a corner because of a crow. I think it would be cool if you were able to have the gun rotated towards the mouse or some way of shooting the other direction. Also a small thing would be to have the bread pickups as triggers instead of colliders, because right now it stoped you movement, this is a small thing but overall nice job :D
This game was really nice! I liked the idea behind the game and the ducky character as well, especially when it was holding a weapon lool. The 8-bit music was a really excellent choice to use as well to enforce danger and rushing.
The main problems I had with the game so far though are:
- The ladders boosted me EXTREMELY high in the air when I was climbing it
- The gun was only facing to the right and I couldn't shoot enemies to the left
- The controls text was still in front of my screen and I would of liked it if I could make it disappear so I could focus on the gameplay.
- Some of the pixel art is kind of inconsistent. It probably would of been best to use a bigger canvas size if you wanted to have bigger windows and maintain the size of the small windows.
Overall though, the game was nice and with some polishing, it has potential to be even better! Also, thanks for the music adjuster :D
Thanks for your feedback! The weird platform/ladder bugs will be fixed soon and i will add the ability to shoot to the right. You can deactivate the controls text by pressing "-" and activate it with "Enter". In the future this will be both with Enter.
The game was designed and testet with an low resolution I know that on displays with a bigger resolution the UI very small is.
A decent idea for a jam game, and congratulations on your first successful Mini Jam submission~!
There are a few janky behaviours with the movement controller, as I'm sure you're aware, and I did end up getting cornered by a crow and having to quit the game~.
Overall, though, the game is a good entry for the jam, thank you for submitting :)
Great job at putting it together so fast! My ladders had a few issues but still fun!
