Simple concept, fun addition of the wheel!
It wasn't immediately clear to me though where the mouse should end up at, so maybe you could find a way (that fits the nice spooky theme) to communicate that in-game?
Mouse only mouse only game (✯◡✯) love it! I love logic games where you have to figure out in your head before putting it down into the puzzle solution because it makes me randomly start talking out loud and sounding crazy with "Left, left, right, down.... up! right, up, up!... Right..." etc lol
I managed to beat it! Reminded me of 3 other games in this game jam (Recursoban, doActiondoActiondoAction and re:cursor). You 4 are the ones who took on the challenge to recursively program a character in a tile-based game and find your way to the exit.
I think your aesthetics were nice. But it wasn't clear to me initially what the exit was. I then just tried to get to the right, which seemed to be the solution.
I also would have liked if there was a bit more feedback before placing your cheese, because I didn't expect it to be placed at a specific location. I first assumed the commands would be executed in order.
I wish you had more challenges however. I'm fairly sure I got to the end. I'm wondering however if its possible to reach the end with 3/3 lives 🤔
Good job!
Hi, thanks for your precious feedback and sorry for the late reply. It has been a very long start of the week…
Yeah, cheese placement in the wheel was a bit clunky. In hindsight, we could’ve added some visual clue or effect to notify the active wedge. We’ll try to remember this for the next time.
Lastly, it is possible to win with 3/3. I discovered the solution by accident while play testing. Yes we did not plan a map around the solution but did a placeholder map and tested it… since it worked we kept it
It’s clear that the game is only in the concept stage, but the concept is intriguing. Great effort for a two-days work.
Really cool and complex idea. I also like the art style and music
I like the game atmosphere created by art and music!
