Some feedback.
I use unity not godot, but I spotting an issue that may be same cause, when you import an image, do have option of bilinear filtering? if so do not use it for pixel images, use Nearest Neighbour or None depending on what option in Godot. This is why some of your mutant dogs are blurred.
For this type of game, I would not rotate the images of the dogs as they follow your player, just flip the image on X-axis so that they point in direction of the player.
The cartoon setting of the scene was a nice touch. The instruction page was hard to read. Think about the choice of font, its contrast to the background the text will be on, and the layout and structure to emphasize the information it is giving.
Hope you take feedback as means to improve for next one.
I like the game and enjoyed playing it, and I loved the title of the game.
Nice job, your game was so funny and fun to play. I loved the animations and art and your choice of music. I also enjoyed how you had two different mini games and the "store" option, it gave it a lot of depth/lore and made me attached to the game play. The cutscenes in the beginning were so cute and charming and I laughed out loud when I realized the gun was a fish.
A fun Alien Shooter-like (I don't know how is this genre called) game! Enjoyed playing it!
This is exhileratingly funny. Love the story part and the switching gameplay!
This is a fantastic concept! The way the entire game is tied thematically together is really cool, and I like how the game is split into separate phases of play that keep it feeling fresh over time. Great job!
Hey there! I am doing stream/video feedback, since it can be really helpful to see someone play the game. This game was full of charm and I enjoyed my time with it!
Thank you so much! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. Goofy fun is exactly what I was going for. The lack of polish is due to me doing everything but the cutscenes and menus, while also having no experience besides other programming languages and 2 godot tutorials. I made a couple changes to make it feel better based off your feedback. Not sure why the eagles weren't working because they were, but you should be able to finish the game now. The bullet issue is because I based the bullet instance off of the player model and not the gun model when I was planning it out and testing, and I didn't have time to figure out how to change it so just ran with it.
That intro is fantastic, and the gameplay of both "stages" are cool too; loved the way that you give some upgrades to the player while getting the fishes.
I like the music. I like the intro! The graphics are good! They get the point across. The graphic scenes are super awesome! My favorite part of the game! Like the duck and intro.
I feel like the gun has a click limit? I couldn't switch guns :(
I enjoyed the game for a round.
The overall ambiance and lore provided by the intro and scene transition are really putting us in character!
I'm a not a duck anymore ... I am a survivor ... and I shall protect my hard earned fishes.. 🔫🔫
Now this is just a classic style game. Plus i really like the art style :)
I really enjoyed playing this game! The cutscenes is a very nice addition to the game, one thing I would add on would be the audio, the game will much feel much better with it! Overall, the upgrades and fish guns are epic! Nice job :D
