If it wasn't for the reviews here, I would have gotten stuck at the first stump and quit. Not sure how anyone figured that out.
A solid submission. Like other have said before , the trunk is a bit tanky and need more visuals. I love the cute fire you have there.
i don’t tend to look here at the comments before playing, since i don’t want to be influenced by others’ opinions. but had i not seen this on-stream i would have had no idea that the tree stumps are able to be destroyed. some kind of clearer audiovisual feedback would have helped a lot there, be it some sort of smoke particles, little embers spreading over the wood, something like that. good job on having controller support tho! that’s always appreciated.
Needs some visual indicator on burning the logs down. Otherwise a solid submission.

awesome game! I like the art , giving it a retro style action game, the controls are tight and responsive. The mechanics is easy to understand, gather the items and avoid being doused by water. Overall , I enjoyed playing, congratulations! keep it up!
Cool ambience, I like the way the rain and audio make for a "desperate" feeling. I think I got stuck here in a room where there's 2 logs that I can't get past, though?
You should be able to destroy the stumps by walking against them :) It takes a little while though, before they are destroyed (a bit too long..)

Cool game, I love this simple art-style.
One thing I would add simple text which tell player what he must do but despite this I enjoyed playing.

I beat the game and it's been fun :) Nice use of theme and limitation. I think it would improve the gameplay if you added more feedback to the player when the stumps are burning.

I myself participated in this game jam (The flame), and I used a similar concept but on a 2D platformer, good work, it lacks a little presentation but it's not easy in so little time!
