The game was overall very fun but a bit hard to read at times, doesn't matter much it's just technical. I had a good laugh seeing "smells like teen spirits" in the effects, overall a great game with a great concept, good job!

Very good looking game, love the color palette chosen, all of the ingredients (and there are a LOT of them!) have a lot of varying effects, and although it sometimes seems like its a crapshoot to what I get (A character is boiling in lava! The fire res ingredient boosts my score by +5, but the poison resistance boosts it by... +8?!?), it doesn't matter because at the end of the day, I tried my best, helped tidy, used my manners, ate all my food, and (mostly) stayed focused.
I'm OK with the fact that there is really no final score at the end... save for when you kill a customer, it lets you know they will never return... how morbid and hilarious at the same time.
Oh yeah, and it's made in Pico8 -- what a flex for a 72hr game jam.
Love, love, love this game. Absolutely love this game's sense of humor. So many little touches I absolutely adore, and I can't praise it enough. Great job!
I really appreciate the kind words ! The score thing is definitely something we needed to work on , the points are completely arbitrary and mostly just random unless you get the "correct" ingredient . But I like the concept of it not really mattering in the end anyway , because you get to choose your own score ahah .

I love the art, the plague medic it's always a good choice, the audio is cool and fit perfectly with the game. Cool gameplay, Sometimes i don't understand the text, but it's pico 8. Nice submission

I’d love to love this game, it looks amazing, sounds are great too, but it was too hard to play.
- The ingredients move too fast so you don’t really have the time to check what they do
- Font is hard to read
- Really small screen
I get it is from pico8 and good job comitting to this retro style all the way, maybe only 2 stats per ingredient would have cleared some space on screen to make it more readable (though les fun for sure)
It is one of the rare occasions where I can say you are limited by the engine Would have LOVED it with a bigger resolution and a bit slower

Graphics are great.
Gameplay is enjoyable and addictive. It is a little difficult to read all that properties of the ingredients in time.
Some aditional things like dialog after work would be great.
In overall this game is great and you did a nice job.
Thank you so much! The faster conveyor belt is something we though could add a bit of challenge but it can feel kind of inappropriate and definitely doesn't give enough time to read the effects. Although the panic of trying to scramble a potion as the time runs out was something we though could be fun. Thank you for your feedback!
Well done. Only complaint is that the font is really hard to read and the time limit makes it even harder
pico8 has it's limitations ! we found that the uppercase font was a bit aggressive , and we wanted to save it for things we wanted emboldened . It's shame though , but I definitely feel the same way . If I had another chance I'd have made the time limit a little bit more generous , but hindsight is always 20/20 ! haha
Art-style and music is absolutely amazing, can't fault it at all! Gameplay is fun but can be quite confusing, takes a while to get used to it all. Very good though! :))
I suppose we wanted the gameplay to feel a little confusing because we wanted to the player to reach the feeling of "giving up and just murdering people due to incompetence" , but I suppose that's a really hard feeling to accomplish without lots of time spent playtesting . I appreciate the play , thank you for you time <3
what a pretty, smooth game. Funny ending too, but the gameplay is much too overwhelming.
