Interesting game! I included it in my Mini Jam 107 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
I didn't expect him to control the player by tilting the room, but I loved it! It was a lot of fun and the game had a really good aesthetic, the menu is really cool too, amazing job!
Fantastic! I love it!
HEY!!!! Whaddup fellow 3D-pixel-artist! I love what you've done with the medium ;)
The tilting of the menu and game looks BEAUTIFUL and the gameplay is genuinely fun. It took me a minute to realize that I had to get a swinging orbit going to avoid the black hole, but once I did this was just a ton of fun to rhythmically rock to.
The music gave this an almost creepy, glitchy feel. I loved everything about this. Excellent submission!
thanks so much! this was my first time trying for a 3d pixelated style like this and im pretty happy with how it looks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Very cool concept, made for interesting gameplay
Fun concept, love the style. Collect is a lot easier which was good for me lol
Really liked this game! Concept and presentation is great! Love the style and really easy to understand what to do! The only real problem I had was it was extremely hard to control. And the collect mode are definitely FAR easier than the dodge mode.
Thank you. I started with the dodge mode and realized it was pretty difficult which is why I added the collect mode. I reversed the player's size changing from getting smaller as you get hit to getting bigger as you collect and I think starting off with a zippier player has been preferred by most players. If I ever update this game I would try to improve the balance for sure. I also included a practice mode to provide a no stakes way to feel out the controls.
I had some technical difficulties with this game and Firefox: the music was only playing in the first level i tried, then it stopped and would not play again, but only the music—i could hear some beeps when hitting the notes, but no all, and the “sucking” sound of the black hole. There is also some issues with the keys: when pressing up or down, the event is bubbled to the browser, i assume, and it scrolls the page up and make.
I think this game would be such fun with a smartphone using the gyroscope to rotate the level, if you ever consider it.
thanks for the feedback. i use chrome so i was unaware of these issues. to solve the scrolling up and down you can use wasd or use the full screen button in the bottom right of the game window. I'm unsure why the music wouldn't play correctly on firefox unfortunately all i can recommend atm is trying other browsers.
this is the first time I've had an issue with this so if anyone knows why this happens any insight would be helpful.
This was fun!!! great use of gravity and the music was good too -nice work on this!! :D
Nice implementation of the limitation
Nice game & implementation. I enjoyed the collect mode a lot more it felt like the gravity behaved differently and you had more control when collecting?
In the collect mode you start small and get larger as you collect notes, in the dodge move you start larger and become smaller when hit by a note and the mass of your character changes how much the gravity effects you.
This game is really fun. Being able to choose to dodge or collect for multiple game modes was really smart.
