Quite fun, nice concept. The pixel art is good however some of the art is not scaled properly with the rest of the art. I also feel like the limitation could have been implemented a bit better. Good job though.
hey, some problems here! after the intro the game seems to be stuck on this screen, am i missing something?
Windows 64 bit version
Oh, I forgot to write that a menu opens (player can read the tutorial in menu screen) at the beginning of each level, and to close it press Esc.
The sound is pretty good! I dont' like too much the pixel art is seems to be a bunch of different style all togheter. The ending is so cute and you implemented the limitation in a cool way!
Good work!
Thanks for the feedback! About art... Yes, I have little experience in pixel art and I drew in a hurry, but I'm glad you liked my game :)
Your anonymous friend did a great job with the music, it fits perfectly with the nicely stylized visuals and the nicely punchy sound effects.
The animations were on the player character are so nicely flowy, and when the glowing eyes character catches you, the jump animation is cool.
The ending is cute, and a nice way to tie into both themes.
I also commend the variety here, really cool to see two different fully realized game modes in a jam game!
Awesome work!
Thank you very much! I watched a video about your game and was very impressed. Maybe I'll find the VR and play :)
Wow, really great result, especially for first game jam! I really like the art, sound design and core loop of your game! But for me game feels a bit (just a bit) tight - if the level with campfire was shorter and maybe more dynamic it would be great. Also, don't know if it's a bug or feature but it's still pretty dark near campfire)
But still it's one of the best experience on this jam for me - this project has a solid potential for release as full game :)
Yes, the second level does have a balance problem. Thanks for your feedback!
Oh my! That is a really good game and I would like to see it developed even further! The atmosphere is great as well as the sound design. I did notice that in the campfire area, the sprite was facing the opposite direction that it was moving sometimes. Not sure if that's just my build or something else. However, that limitation is very well implanted. Great job, gives a really unsettling atmosphere.
Thank you for your feedback :)
Can you tell me, which archive you downloaded and which sprite was facing opposite?
I like the story and its setting. The game, art and music compliments the given theme. Great Job!
Many thanks!
Wow, this game definitely deserves more ratings! This is one of the best works I've seen.
Really? What did you like and dislike the most in my game? <3
I really liked the art, music and atmosphere in general. I also liked that there are two different levels, like two separate mini-games. But the second one seemed too long to me, but this is probably due to the fact that I was losing.
Thanks, I'll try to fix it.
Oh no, I completely forgot to remove some bugs...
1. The yellow arrow does nothing.
2. To hide the UI, you can press the "U" button
3. Some sounds do not work well, as well as the logic of the enemies.
4. "Exit" button doesn't work and breaks the game!
