What a creative entry! You have to delve deeper down the portal to kill the ghost and other enemies, while having your attacks lighting up the darkness and also reflected back at you, good stuff! I thought the art was lovely, it was easy to understand and look at. I wish there was music, but the SFX sounds good, so that's fine. I like that you added a roguelike aspect where you can choose an upgrade before you go down the next level, that was very cool indeed. Great job!
The environment and use of colored lighting feels so unique and is visually appealing! The mirrors are just such a cool idea. I like how the player character's move set is so refined, a solid set of actions that all feel good. Really nice!
I like the concept with the mirrors and that some enemy are using them to attack and defend themself. The artstyle is amazing and the sound is simple but nice. The projectiles making the screen pretty chaotic but also really fun and challenging. Nice work :)
Your own projectiles that bounces back and causes chaos in the screen fits well with the limitation. The game is cool with nice graphics. I really liked the giant magic circle and its animation!
Overall good game :)
Fun little action game. Having the projectiles reflect was a good idea.
The 2D lighting is well-implemented, and the result is colorful and attractive. The darkness is not a significant obstacle to gameplay.
I really liked the enemies that hold up mirrors, and they look really creepy.
The game was a bit light on the soundscape. A bit of music would have gone a long way.
One last point: When combining pixel art assets, try to use a consistent resolution as much as possible. There is something jarring when the eye sees a combination of different resolutions.
Gameplay concept was pretty good. I really like the idea of my own projectiles bouncing back off mirrors - very fitting for the limitation. I also liked the lighting effects. I would've liked to have some more sounds, and definitely some music. Nice work though!
Nice! Didn't expect the bullet mechanics, nice way to incorporate the limitation. Made me think about when and where to shoot.
