This game was so much fun! What competent fighting moves, what style in the artwork and music/sound design. This was very well put together, and also tied with a message as well. Excellent job!

I really loved both the combat (despite being basically smashing left click) and animations during it. Sadly its being holden back by weak enemies that after just smashing left click really quick. I see a potential for a full lenght game here but it will require a lot of work on both enemies and combat.
I agree, the enemies could've been a little harder or with more variety. I put in some difficult enemies in a previous hack-and-slash type game and it made the combat kinda drone on, and didn't want a repeat of that. I think in future iterations I'll make more variety in combat. Thanks for the feedback and for playing my game!
This game was really polished! Very nice art, the combat was fun, and the enemy variation was nice. The only issue I really had with it was that I was able to skip some levels in effect by just running past enemies. Maybe having an amount of enemies you have to defeat to progress, or having them follow you more would help make players have to engage to progress. Overall one of the best games I've seen for the jam!
Great work! Audio, Graphics, Animation, Gameplay, A++.
Only issues i had was at some stages when i was too close, i couldnt attack, and i died, and the beginning intro was too long, especially because i didnt know what to do when it was done, and moved to the left, and replayed it again.
Only thing that really bugged me about the controls, is when i did the slash attack, i moved back to my previous position,, so i will slash to the spitting enemy, then move back to wear the ball lands, and get hit.
The slashing attack is definitely a little gimmicky...it's basically all animated sprites and doesn't actually move the character object itself. I agree about the intro screen, I should've put movement instructions right after as well as a skip option. I have some more bugs to chase down as well. Glad you liked it though, thanks for the feedback and for playing!
Very impressed you were able to do all of this in three days. The animations are great. Like others have mentioned, I ran into problems where I could no longer attack.
Awesome presentation. Love the intro, the writing, the tutorial... the post-apocalyptic color scheme, the lively animation.
Controls seem fluid and well-implemented, BUT I experienced what I believe to have been a very serious bug. After taking about 1/3 damage, I could no longer attack any enemies. Since defeating enemies is also the way to heal, I would basically get stuck whenever this happened. (If this was intentional, and there is some gameplay way to get out of that spiral, I was not smart enough to figure it out. :) )
Definitely not intentional, but I'll have to try and repeat that bug. I ran into a similar problem during development, but figured I had solved it. I just tried repeating it below 1/3 health and everything seemed fine. I'll give it another go here soon. Glad you enjoyed it otherwise, and thanks for playing and the feedback!
awesome game! the graphics are great! highly impressed with the parallax scrolling , the controls are smooth and responsive. The mechanic is easy to understand and the story is engaging. The game is appropriate with the theme and limitation, congratulations! awesome work! keep it up!
Awesome project! So impressed by the art and animations you created! The tutorial and narrative experience were well executed! All those little details you added made for a great hack n slash feel!
Well done!
What a great game man!! More amazing that you did it alone!! I loved it!! Congratulations... I really liked the choice of songs and SFx and how it's mixed! I was just going to point out that I missed the music changing, especially when the difficulty increases. But then I saw that you made the game yourself!!! Forget what I was going to say, the game is perfect!! hahahahaha... Congratulations for the work!!
JUST WOW. Very polished game with a very fitting theme and setting!
In regards to enemies, I think it would be better if the player is forced to defeat all the enemies before progressing to the next area (I tried finishing the game without hitting anyone)
Overall it is a very stylish and fun game!
Really fun and a great style! Really impressive to see that you made this in a weekend.
Hi, Very solid character movement and animation.it will be cool give it some dungeon vibe to it
Wow… this will be one of the most stylish games of the jam. Impressive.
Really good game. Animations, lore, art. It's really good. The ending seems like it was just starting. Pretty cool. Just an experience I had though is that the dash attack doesn't really seem useful. While playing I wasn't even dodging anything and just spammed left click to regen. The dash attack should be more powerful in my opinion. Right now, the additional animation build-up isn't worth the damage the dash could dish out.
Glad you enjoyed it! I agree about the dash attack. I had thought about significantly boosting the damage amount for it, but ultimately left it where it was. Right now it sits about 5 points above all the others, but certainly not enough to make the player go out of their way to use it. I had hoped it would be used to stun enemies a little further away to buy some time. Thanks for the feedback though, and thank you for playing!
