This was a great concept for a game, using the respawn mechanic to come back with different abilities adds a decent level of strategy. And you even had a story to explain it.

This game is really awesome! We encountered a bug where we trapped ourselves with the earth spell and could not continue playing. But the concept is fun, and the pixel art is well done.

this is such a cool idea for the mechanics !
the instructional + narration text is a bit hard to read, and i feel like a tutorial area to introduce each ability one by one would maybe feel a bit better than having to read a bunch of text upfront and remember later
save points are frequent enough so i don't feel punished for experimenting around tho, so that's good
but for the time constraints, it's nice and has a lot of potential, good job !
I understand, I did plan to introduce one mechanic per screen, but since I lost quite a bit of time on certain things, I couldn’t present them the way I would’ve liked, and I was afraid they wouldn’t be understood. I’ll try to improve that—thanks for the feedback!
that's understandable for such a short jam period, i still had fun and i feel like there's a lot of ways you can progress so you're free to experiment and not tied to finding only one solution :]

super cool submission, took a sec to realise how you died decides what speel you can cast, I sadly may or may not have softblocked myself by putting earth tiles around my spawnpoint...
