Mashing the asteroids felt pretty good and I like your presentation over all very much. The only con for me are the controls. Sometimes you are really fast wich makes it hard to click on. Also the grappling hook seems pretty buggy in generel. Sometimes you glitch back/get pulled back. Can' really describe it. But overall solid entry :)

Developer (1 edit)

The pulling back happens when you reach the border. After the jam, I'm going to release a more polished and complete version of the game where I address all the issues that people have with the game. Stay tuned for that :)

It's probably a bad sign if, as the developer, you can't beat the medium difficulty! The game is very hard. Sometimes, the asteroids feel unavoidable. I also got stuck several times at the edge of the map since there was nothing I could use my grapple on. You probably should teleport the character next to an asteroid so that they don't get stuck there. I still managed to beat the medium difficulty, but I think the character should have more hp to make the game more accessible. It was a fun game :)

Developer

Woah! Pro gamer over here! Yeah, I’m working on some fixes to publish after the jam!

A fun little toy with interesting mechanics The graphics are cool!

i like how accurate the difficulties are, i like game with challenges.

Developer

You beat any of the levels yet?

Submitted

Like i said, this game is pretty hard, espacially the astroids, this is the closest i could get :>

Submitted

Wow, so cool :3

Developer

I would love to know how far anyone got! I still haven't been able to beat medium and hard difficulty :)

Really like the art, and the music & sfx are really nice. Controls are good too.

Great idea, though the grapple is a bit clunky to use! Nice sound design and VFX!

Developer

What do you think could be improved?

Submitted

It’s quite difficult to use because there are times where there just aren’t really enough asteroids in your view. In terms of feel, the changes in speed are too fast and a bit jarring, and there’s a bit of inconsistency in how fast you go when you reach the asteroid. Going fast is pretty fun though, when it does happen. Maybe a bit of steering control after grapples might help in giving movement some more depth?

Developer

Yeah, I think the change in speed might be because I change the timescale when you hover over an asteroid to make it easier. I might need to add some effects to make it more noticeable.  And I totally agree with the fact about there sometimes not being enough asteroids in view-- if I had more time I would have worked a bit more on the world gen.

Pretty cool 👍

Simple concept, but done very well! Sometimes there were issues hitting some parts after the asteroids nearby were hit, but overall a very fun experience!

Interesting.

Very fun game, asterioids locking onto you is very funny, grapple seems to be a bit bugged

Developer (1 edit)

Could you elaborate?

Submitted

I was getting pulled in some very weird directions and I was going super fast  and the grapple didnt seem to dissapear after I went through a rock, might be a design choice tho.

Developer

huh. I never encountered that bug. That’s really interesting

I really like this concept of having to go on a spacewalk to recover stuff to fix the spaceship when you only have a limited amount of oxygen
I think it's  a little unintuitive that the explosions from asteroids you grapple towards don't damage you
But I also think that the graphics look very good and it was fun to play so nice game :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I couldn't really think of a way for them not to damage the player. I couldn't really think of anything else a player could grapple off in space.
