This was fun! i generally dont like this kidn of games but i enjoyed this.
was missing hearing some pew-pew sounds.

difficulty ramping was on point (i couldnt get past lvl 5 xD )

the randomization of patterns from the boss made it hard to learn or predict everytime i retried lvl 5 (i suck at these games so i cant get any better besides learning the patterns)so that adds difficulty but also may prevent some players from being able to enjoy progress.

variation in the boss you are figthing, maybe some smaller enemies spawning that try to crash into you

was not super fan of the "going back to main menu" everytime i either ran out of lives or progressed.

Good start to the game, liked the menu and choice of ships. Felt the music was repetitive and didn’t seem like I was advancing. Each level looked like the same ship to me (I only played 4 waves). Couldn’t really tell where my health was so wasn’t sure when I was going to explode. The bullet patterns from the ships are great but would have been nice with some more particles or effects. Nice job!

More ships are planned, but not implemented yet. I want to use more ships from The Big Spaceship Builder. The plan is that you will play another invader every wave and fight against the previous invader that invaded the planet (That means that you will fight yourself). That's also the reason why I named the game Invaderion, Invaderion is a blend word from "Invader Invasion".

You don't have health in this game, you explode immediatelly when you get hit. You have 5 lifes per wave though that are shown at the top right corner. If you want to see your hitbox in red you have to hold "Left Shift" - then you enter focus mode and you also move slower. With focus you can get past wave 4.

Thanks, enjoyed watching your stream IrishJohn!

It reminds me of Raiden Project all the way back from the PS1 glory days.

Main inspiration for this game is Sky Force Reloaded and the Touhou Project. But Raiden Project might serve as inspiration too. Thanks for the comment!

Strange choice in music, certainly not a battle anthem ;-)

Need some more feedback with explosions and fire effects. Even some simple sounds and a little screen shake will make a ton of difference.

Great start though. The game plays through which is not always the case with game jam games. Well done.

Thanks for playing! Initially the game was supposed to have a pre level before the boss fight were you fly around and beat some weak enemies before the boss appears. That's where I actually wanted to use the music for (and were I intend to use it in the future). With the first part of the music I want to create tension and with the later part I completely change the direction of the music into something like "I am free like a bird and flying through the sky!" - until the boss appears, there I wanted to compose a boss battle music but there was no time left, I had to focus on finishing the game.

I uploaded the Stage Theme, I had fun making it and tried out a lot of things. As a beginner in making music I learned a lot!

Some firing/impact vfx would have made the game feel more alive, but certainly a good bullet hell game.

I was thinking the same, I want to replace the bullets with more stylish prefabs from Epic Toon FX in future updates. The pack also comes with sound effects.

I made a Gameplay Trailer for my game, check it out:

Fun game, first level I was like.... this is easy. Then when the bullets start going different directions that just thorough me off :)

Developer

Yes, that's right. In the first level the boss has only 300 health and gets +100 health and new bullet patterns every time you win the game. The final boss has 1500 health. Thanks for playing!

it's pretty good... at first I thought it was a single level.. but then i saw in the description that there is 12 Bosses.
