The yellow and the orange are very similar and I had a whole moment when starting of toggling my colors trying to find blue for the yellow creature. However, I figured it out and started to really like it. I think the random start spawn is creative, but I had a harder time when enemies would spawn right next to the player. I think instead of this, increasing wave amount might be a better way to make it difficult for the player. Overall, this was a fun game and easy to get into.
This was very fun to play! I was able to reach the boss and destroy it haha
The color mechanic is creative, art and sound is also nice. I liked the detail around the drops when you are using the right color, sometimes I couldn't remember what color to use lol
Using different color paints to fight different color paint blobs was a fun mechanic. Nice sound effects and art too!
Really cool game! Shame on me for not reading : it took me a while to figure out you could use WASD to move lol. Once I figured that out, it was actually very enjoyable. I felt like it was advantageous to think about the order in which the colors succeeded one another, in order to plan attacks ahead and do "combos" lol. Overall really creative idea.
Interesting idea, nice touch with the color theory, however, I appreciate the highlight when you have compatible color to the target. It was fun, however, it felt as if the pace slows down after a while and it became easier to destroy the paint drops especially seeing how they never spawned behind me after I picked a corner of the map to camp in.
Fun game! I really like that it tests your knowledge in color theory. With a bit more polish and features, this has a lot of potential!
Fun game and innovative use of the limitation! Having both the left and right mouse buttons to switch colours and having another key like space bar to shoot would be an improvement over the current control scheme though, since now it can take 2 switches to get the correct colour. The spawn patterns also make it really easy to get enemies into one big clump and circle around them without ever taking damage. Really great game though, would love to see it expanded! Maybe with enemies that can fire projectiles?
First game of the jam I saw where AZERTY keyboards are supported, I can smell the baguette from here : ) Anyway, good game for practicing color theory.
