Software used
Game Maker Studio 2

Use of the limitation
I interpreted the use of multiple applications as a mechanic where the player has to constantly use external apps in order to solve puzzles.

I do not like cookies that much :c (But I do like coffee a lot!)

Played this blind and I think that's the best way to go into this. Had fun with this. Cool vibes overall. To me the one downside is that this sort of storyline benefits from a slow buildup and a bunch of red herrings, and a gamejam game is just going to be too short to pull that off. For a short game though, it's a cool experience.

The part at the hole/lock took me forever because I didn't realize I should switch to mouse controls. I also felt like Cel sometimes took too long to show up, making me wonder what I was missing or doing wrong.

Thanks a lot for your review :]

...a gamejam game is just going to be too short to pull that off.

Yee, indeed. Actually, I wanted to make it way longer, didn't realize 1 week passes so fast when developing, I didn't take it into consideration and I realized it especially at the time of developing the script. Time passes fast, at least I learned that :3

Thanks once again<3

PD: About the mouse controls, the hole didn't pop up a mouse notification? It should have, that may be bugged, can you confirm so I can fix it later pls ><

Nope, there was no pop-up for me.

Amazing. The best game of the jam. No more words needed.

Developer

I haven't tried any other entries yet (gonna start tomorrow!), but quite a few look pretty solid so I doubt it hehe.

Thanks a lot tho<3

Super cool !!! I HAVE to know what shaders you used for this!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

The Bkt shaders, it stopped receiving support a few years ago tho, so it's a modified version by me :]

woooah what an experience I just lived.

Definitely the most creative game I've played in the game jam up to now. You really did a tremendous job. I was really engaged o_o

ps. do I have a virus now?

Developer

Thank you!

ps. do I have a virus now?

Actually, I was kinda scared people wouldn't want to try the game, since it is somewhat likely that an antivirus may detect it as a virus, because of the nature of the game with "modifying files" hehe

I find it impressive that this can be developed in a week and only one person. I loved it, I've always loved games that break the fourth wall with computer files. Thanks so much for sharing it!

Utterly amazing that this was created in 7 days. I love everything about it from the concept to the aesthetic. When you go on to release the next cult classic meta-narrative game in ~2 years, I hope you remember me!

Very enjoyable game! The pixel art and effects were very nice, and the mystery of having to look through the files was super fun! Amazing game for a one person team!
