Did you work in a team?
A team of 4 brand new developers

Was the resolution a challenge?
Very much so towards the end, we had no idea how to make the game playable in 64x64 without it taking up only 64x64 pixels on a screen! It was barely visible! After a strefull last hour before submissions, we figured it ou.

What did you learn?
Learned a lot about making good AI and animations. This was the second time we have ever made made a game and I'd say we did a pretty good job! We are all still new to the Unity Engine so a lot was learned during this development period.

There's a lot of content in this game, and the gameplay loop seems very satisfying. I believe the font in the gameplay HUD has some smoothing and might not conform to the 64x64 restriction, but that's a very small issue that doesn't detract from the experience at all. Overall, excellent entry.

I wanted to get further into this game, but I got stuck on the first floor. It seemed like the original area was a shop of sorts. I think I purchased or picked a sword. I'm not really sure.

The first floor didn't have any enemies on it, and there wasn't anything to interact with. I couldn't get back to the shop area, so I had to quit.

I haven’t seen any better visuals fit in 64x64. Great job!

I loved the visuals, it looked SO Good!! The running and attack animations were great, and the general character and mob design was cute and clear.

The sound effects really hurt the game though, never underestimate the value sound design has in a game! It made everything feel less impactful, and the enemy hurt sound being the same as the player hurt sound was a little confusing.

My only complaint game play wise was that it was a little hard to fight without taking damage, and the maps were a little difficult to navigate.

Still, this is a really sweet little dungeon crawler, and it was a ton of fun to explore!

Lighting effects are cool!

It's a nice game, fun to play! I love the running animation! :P I like the lighting effect as well, it almost starts to feel like a horror game haha.

Thank you! We liked the lighting because it helped with the exploration aspect, making it feel as though you were actually going through the dungeon.
