Good Master of Orion vibe

I hope there's a guide on upgrading or unlocking the tech

but it's cool that after you mine so much materials, the color of the planet became dull

really makes the grim effect became easier to understand

nice game ^^

It was a little hard to figure out the tech progression tree, but when I got it, it was pretty cool. Amazing scope for a game jam, plus I was hypnotized by the camera movement along the planet orbit!

I think this game has some cool potential, I would like to try it again if you come back to it in the future!

text was not readable in the jam verson but planets are fun to look at when they move around.... neat..!

Wow! This is the kind of game I love to dig into and plan well. Normally along with studying the game's documentation and wiki, and any info that can be gleaned before committing to action.

I feel like any ratings I give will not be fair unless I have given this several hours of gameplay. And it sure looks like it can sustain those hours with in-game progress.

Congrats on working on such an ambitious scope and delivering a playable release!

it's amazing how this game does not use any sprite, well coded and planned goodluck on the jam !

Developer

Funny thing is, that it was not planned. I just had no time to make any 😄

NO clue what is happening, but seems really cool! Built some buildings and upgraded them, but filled the grid with probably unneeded stuff so I couldn't expand the upgrades etc. more...? Then it suddenly teleported to another system and planet, which seemed to maybe build on it's own? AI system? Couldn't find my starting planet anymore. UI is great and this seems like there's tons of potential. GREAT job finishing the jam!!

Developer

Thank you. If you press 1 you play as player, but if you press 2-8 you get teleported to AI and you can see what they are building, so maybe that is what happened to you? Clicking on planet (on left side) should put you back to your home system.
This game for sure needs tutorial :D

I couldn't get the text to be legible on my end, but I love the vibe of this game!

I submitted post jam update to make it readable for people. In case people want to try again

I think I understand what you are going for, like a civ-builder. I would have likely gotten into it more, but the font was nearly impossible to read on my screen. I tried resizing the screen multiple times to different sizes, and could not get the font to be legible enough to easily understand what was happening. Excellent concept! I just need more direction.

Developer

That font was last minute fix, because all the text overflow once you unlock mines level 10 :D You can see it on 4k monitor, but it is still not good

Wow, impressive amount of work for a jam, I love the mood. Trying to get my head wrapped around it!

Developer

Yea kind of had only time for proof of concept, but it is playable so I am happy :D
